I am part of Codigames, developers of Empires of Sand. First of all, thanks for the post and the video We are still in development, adding new content every week, and the game is currently in softlaunch in Canada and Spain. But, I leave here some codes for those who don't live there and want to give it a try: LHHM96TAEAK9 6Y7XNAF3NF6A T76WH39JNLEP PXTKFPHYWYTN M6RYJLAKEXTA If someone picks up a code, please say it here. Of course, any comment you have about the game is more than welcome If you have any question about the game, just let me know Mirlo Member Feb 10, 2014 11 0 0 Spain #5 Mirlo, May 19, 2014 I just download the game this weekend and I liked it. I knew the studio from Infinity Space, which is a good game, but kind of boring after a few days. However, I think I can play Empires of Sand for months. I am a huge fan of tower defense games and this game has a lot of potential. It is clearly inspired by Kingdom Rush, but has some new elements like prayer towers. Furthermore, it is not only about defending your base, you have to send troops to your enemy (It reminds me to Defenders of Ardania, a TD game for PC from Paradox). Instead of adding skill points to a skill tree, like Kingdom rush, here you have to build things in your city in order to unlock some new magics and habilities. I'd prefer the skill points systems, but I can live with this sort of Clash of Clans management. There are two game modes: campaign and PvP. The campaing is still in development, but the three scenarios I played are quite good. The PvP needs some balance, but it is promising. P.S.: I am from Spain and the game is available here, so I didn't use any of the promocodes. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #6 NOEN, May 19, 2014 I've only played one round of this so far and so far I'm really liking it. There seems to be a lot going on in the game that I haven't gotten to, so I can't give a proper review yet, but I will say that if you liked Kingdom Rush, you will probably like this. It's definitely worth the download. I'll try and play a little later and dig into it more. NOEN FYI, I downloaded on my Canadian account, so I don't know if the promo codes are still available or not. I'll see if I can fund some time to try it out today. vtamarit Active Member Feb 3, 2014 27 0 0 Valencia (Spain) #8 vtamarit, Jun 2, 2014 Last edited: Jun 2, 2014 Hi! Empires of Sand will be worldwide available next week on the App Store (31st July) It seems that the promocodes I shared were all used, so if you want to give it a try right now, you can use one of these iTunes keys: 66ME3FPK49LH AL6KMPJH37HE 7R3HKYAKXWWN LF7RYLNWR9TW 9WYHFPFHYTXP If you grab one, please post it here The game has evolved and now it has four game modes: PvP, Plunders, Campaign and city management. The campaign has 14 scenarios (and we are working on new levels) Hope you like it! Feel free to ask anything about the game L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #10 L.Lawliet, Jul 25, 2014 Last edited: Jul 25, 2014 Thanks! I took 7R3HKYAKXWWN. All the ones below this are used. Thanks random lurkers. I love the art style and am not much of an online person but I LOVE td especially Kingdom Rush. I'll have to try this for myself and give some impressions I'm mainly in it for campaign as usual. Edit: Can't play it. Why did you increase the iOS requirement? So it locked me out. You'd be able to let more people play this way instead of just ios7. Bummer. Well that's pretty disappointing. vtamarit Active Member Feb 3, 2014 27 0 0 Valencia (Spain) #11 vtamarit, Jul 25, 2014 I am sorry for that The game works fine in iOS 6, but it does not work as fast as we would like and there were some game crashes, specially during online battles. So we decided to let iOS 6 devices out for now. We are working in some important optimizations that should improve the game experience in iOS 6 devices, but I can't tell you when it will be ready. xtrgrvyplz Well-Known Member Jul 15, 2012 166 0 16 #12 xtrgrvyplz, Jul 31, 2014 Kingdom Rush & Clash of Clans Hybrid = Awesomeness Ayjona Well-Known Member Sep 8, 2009 3,295 21 38 Freelance journalist and writer, amateur musician Stockholm, Sweden #13 Ayjona, Jul 31, 2014 This does indeed look very interesting. Chaosbass Active Member Nov 30, 2010 30 0 0 #15 Chaosbass, Jul 31, 2014 One thing I'd like to say after 1 night of trying is the huge discrepancy between plundering and defenders. At least in the early stage of the game, it is incredibly unrealistic to be able to pillage all 3 caskets at the same time. However, plundering one only gives you roughly 30-40%. It is a bit disheartening to sneak 10-15 units into their base, only to lose the plunder while with the 20 hearts system that is 75% of someone's life. I understand that you should be able to choose which resources to pillage, but make it so that it's fair to the attacker. Atm, it feels like much of the strategy lies with the attacker while defender just plop basic towers down at choke points and get by at everything. Lastly this might be me, but the magic tower is vastly better than archers in the early parts of the game. vtamarit Active Member Feb 3, 2014 27 0 0 Valencia (Spain) #16 vtamarit, Aug 1, 2014 Hi Chaosbass, Thank you very much for your feedback! I want to clarify how the damage works in plunders. The damage you do is related to the the gold or stone you get. I mean that if you attack one casket with 0 gold, you'll do 0 % damage. That said, we know that plunders are not very useful during the first levels. That's because we designed plunders as a game mode for higher levels. It is at higher levels when you need more gold and stone. However, we are testing new things in order to solve this, because we know some players love doing plunders instead of PvP matches or playing the campaign. About the magic tower, you may feel it is better than archer, but you have to consider that units with magic shield, like eagles, can pass trough magic towers easily. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #17 KeKhan, Aug 1, 2014 I'm really enjoying this game! Love the art and the sounds, top notch. The gameplay gets increasingly complex, with strategies developing as you open up more options in tower upgrades and troops/spell unlocks. I don't even like tower defense games usually, but I can't stop playing this. I have only one major complaint right now - RESOURCES. Why don't I get any gold/stone for completing campaign missions? Why doesn't the pvp skirmish or epic battles give me any gold or stone? I understand I can get it from plundering, but at low levels I get at the most 50 stone for plundering, which is nothing. If anything I feel the cities and areas conquered in the campaign should award gold and stone. Or maybe even the conquered cities should produce resources which I could collect from the campaign map. Either way, I feel the resources to be extremely stingy.
