Put it this way: I bought an iPad for this game #. And I'm doing it in the opposite order, Senkoujin. I finished Ember and have now started BG:EE. Your summary is great. Ember is just slightly more linear and less chaotic but it still feels fairly open world and chaotic. I think BG is a lot deeper on the character development and spell sides. With that, of course, comes a lot more minutiae to deal with. I'm about positive that you'll love Ember if you are enjoying BG.
I have an Ipad, but playing on Iphone is more convenient. I will wait a little to see if they update the text. If not, I am gonna play on Ipad. Thanks, guys! I've bought the game day one, by the way. Always support these kind of games on mobile.

Agree I just went back to that spot in the game. It's nighttime & he's in bed. I took all the loot including the skull. No killing needed.
Not sure. I think you have to either kill him or take when he's sleeping. I never saw another option.
Will this game have MFI support soon? Sorry if this has already been posted because I couldn't find it, but this game is so beautiful to look at and I am getting my Gamevice 12.9 very soon, and I believe this will complete that superb handheld gaming experience. Devs please check out the Gamevice for iPad 9.7, iPhone 6 -plus, iPadmini to understand how that in combination with games like this bring the 'console class' level of quality. Please

Having a difficult time with getting past the necromancer. I've tried killing the skeletons first then the ember abomination. I've tried the ember abomination first as well. No matter what I try I end up with all 3 dead & at least two enemies still alive. I see the "spell" that kills you if your in the circle & try to keep my clan out of it. I've done all the side missions so I'm at a point of no return. Any tips on how to beat the necromancer? My clan is pretty strong (lvl 17) so looking for strategy more than gear. Thanks! -- EDIT -- NVM got past the necromancer. Wow that was a tough fight.
We're hoping for a release late next week, but that depends on if QA finds any bugs and how long it takes Apple to approve, so it might slip a bit.
