Currently in the early stages of development. Ellipsis is a first-person point & click adventure game set on a pioneer ship in the year 714 AE. You awake in the med bay, finding yourself completely alone, only to discover something has gone very wrong. Utterly alone and suffering from a fractured memory, it’s up to you to find out what has gone wrong and figure out what to do next. We'll post more here throughout development. www.ellipsis.ae #EllipsisAE
We're very excited too! If you don't already, please consider following us on Twitter / Facebook or signing up to our newsletter. We'll be posting all the interesting stuff here however just incase we have lots of less ( but still very ) interesting stuff, it might get shared on twitter rather than here to save spamming this post.
This looks very good! I say spam away....you guys are one of the few who do these point and click so well! Thank you for continuing to keep my adventure gaming alive!!!!
Wow, very excited to learn of this one! I love point & click adventures. The Forever Lost games are great!
We've just added a one-line description to the solus.ae website - Solus is a first-person point & click adventure game set on a pioneer ship in the year 714 AE. And a longer description for you lucky TA readers: Solus is a first-person point & click adventure game set on a pioneer ship in the year 714 AE. You awake in the med bay, finding yourself completely alone, only to discover something has gone very wrong. Utterly alone and suffering from a fractured memory, it’s up to you to find out what has gone wrong and figure out what to do next.
Here are the first 3 screenshots of the game, they are all works in progress as we're only in pre-pre-alpha ( totally just made that stage up ) but hopefully they give you a little flavour of what we're going for.
Oh man oh man Point and click, in space, with dare I say scary maybe horror elements or scary, thrilling elements?! I'm all in!
Very interested in this as I love your other games and I love point and click games too, which is why my ipad 128gb is bursting at the seams
I wouldn't necesarily go with horror, we're going for an "utterly alone isolation" vibe however that in itself can be pretty scary at times. We were never going for scary with our Forever Lost games however we've been told by people that they were scared playing them so you never know Basically what I'm saying is that we won't be putting any jump scare type elements in however we really want an isolated atmosphere which is often unsettling and unnerving. Really awesome that you like our others! I think it's fair to say that you'll like this one too when it's out Hopefully you'll find room for it on your ipad though
Forever Lost is amazing! Sorry - I've been playing A Short Tale recently and there's a certain point where a robotic companion gives an unexpected shoutout to the FL series... I'm quite excited for Solus: AE. If I might be allowed to pass a humble suggestion based on the scant 3 screenshots shared so far, the color palate feels a touch bright and cheery for what I'd expect in space. Don't forget what Blade Runner taught the world about the importance of lighting
Haha yea what a cheeky little robot We're really excited for Solus too! I'll pass your thoughts onto Simon
We have decided to rename Solus to Ellipsis, for various reasons but mainly because we feel the new name fits the game better, and as such have updated the first post in this thread. We have also moved the website to here - www.ellipsis.ae And also just put up two new screenshots
