A true iPhone/iPT original One of my favorite games, ever. The only one I can say that I'm happy that I paid more than just $0.99 for. "the update draws nigh." Any news on that?
Just bought the game. Awesome. Although, I can't think of a better way to play this game than on a table with both hands and with any fingers necessary lol...
I bought it... and was a little lost. I figured out that the like colored planets could merge... and the unlike shouldn't touch... but was not really sure where to go from there. But the video posted on the first page of this thread is a neccessary tutorial. For the benefit of the game and its developer... better instructions are a must... or a link to that video on the item description in the App Store. Awesome game! Easily worth .99.
I was so lost when I started playing the lite version a few days ago, but then something clicked and I started to understand. Looks like the lite version only has 3 sectors... what can I expect in the full version?
toucheliss.com But it probably won't do you much good When people see me playing they have no idea what's going on. 22 more
I think that deciphering the 'mysterious' schematics of the in-game manual are a part of the fun in Eliss. All is explained in there. You just need to look closely. We are not used to this in games. Either everything is explained black on white, or we are babysitted through the game. I don't mean that it's always a bad thing, but in the case of Eliss, gradually finding by yourself how things work brings a sense of fullfilment. But if you're impatient, sure, video spoilers can help. Not that it's a complex game, it's very simple. But it's a whole new concept of gameplay. Don't you think?
Very well said. The art direction of the game is indeed beautiful. The directions are simple and understated... but fit in perfectly with the overriding feel of the game. The whole package works together extremely well to give one the feeling of playing something truly unique. I would imagine there is a total of less than 50 words in the games. The simplicity of the entire game is refreshing - almost peaceful. I would view this game as a piece of electronic artwork - yes it is fun and addicting, but it is also a game I step back and look it and say 'wow... this is really cool' However, with all of that said... I feel like many gamers are a little to impatient to stumble through their first few attempts with little guidance - which will ruin an amazing game for many before they can have the chance to appreciate it. I would probably fall into the impatient category - I was making some progress... but also quickly turned to the video to figure it out. It probably would have been a more fulfilling experience had I played it a couple times and examined the in game instructions in more detail.
I really enjoyed the lite version, but hesitant about the buying full. Its only $1, but with 25 levels most complaints are that it gets hard too fast. When does it truly start getting hard? Like level 20+, or like level 5+?
Before the update it got hard at like level 3 I'd guess around level 10, that's where my brother starts faltering. I can do all the levels myself quite easily now. Level 24's definitely hardest.
