I dont think I`ll be spending too much on energy now given these rates. I`ll definitely get atleast one 2$ pack just to show my support and make sure NGMOCO gets atleast a little bit of my money. But after that I dont really think I`ll be paying anymore here. May be if I do get addicted to it but for now it seems like I might not, not very good at this game right now.

Not literally robbery of course. I think most people would think that these prices position the company being greedy. Maybe I am wrong on this, maybe the App Store has changed the way we consumers think about digital content.

With costumers mostly waiting for 0,99 price drops I understand why Ngmoco is trying a new path with his games but at the same time I am not sure yet if I like this new method. For the moment I say no to buy credits

this.... Daylight robbery? the game is FREE for ferk's sake!

Its part of a way to combat piracy.. this way everyone is playing for free, no reason to ever drop a penny, but if u like the game, or want instant gratification.. they get cash. win win

Amendmum: see above. u hardly need to spend a penny unless you want instant gratification (IMO u may need to drop a couple bux to get a competitive advantage.. welcome to capitalism tho)

You'd think for 30$ they'd let you earn unlimited credits.

If what they are saying is going to work out, then you don't really need to spend a dime if all you want to do is frag others. Yes it's great to level up and get the next best gear but if they are going to match you with players similar in gear as you, then all you need to do is learn the maps, grab the best mods, aim and strafe well. Enjoy the game for what it's worth. If it's worthy of a couple of energy cells then sure go for it. But that's my 2 cents., see you guys on the battlefield.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's basically the price of a regular game for goodness sake! One word, GREEDY.

See, but that's the problem. You don't get the full game at all at free (of course) and even when you pay $30 dollars, which is the price of a full console game, it's not like you're getting unlimited lives (you don't get the full game either way). It's robbery and greediness and I won't support it.

the reason that I choose ipod over PSP or DS is because I don't have to spent too much money for the after sale product .. but with this new concept of buying/selling introduce by ngcomo just make me felt like 12 again .. back then, I've spent a lot at local arcade .. pay to play they say .. a quarter for a game ..

I just hope that other dev will not follow this .. I don't mind paying extra buck for violatile content such as extra level, new quest, things that I've expected by the new concept they called DLC .. but pay to play? Sorry sir, I don't buy ipod touch for this kind of treatment ..

I won't buy any credits because I don't agree with the whole idea.
I would rather they slapped a $10 price tag on and removed the paying for credits.
A good game, partially ruined by the credit system.
Instead of losing money, I just lose time. But then again, I don't want to be playing all the time, so it can be ok sometimes.

My 2 cents...I would def pay 30 bucks if I could earn unlimited credits. Or if we had to pay a monthly fee of 5 dollars or so. The current system is stupid.

This thread has been a great read.

Seems like there's still some growing pains left to be felt in the 'pay for play' arena.

IMO u guys are hysterical.. Greedy?? U hardly need to spend a penny unless u want to be the best the fastest. The pricing I'd a bit high but it's completely unecessary IMO u honestly don't need to spend a dime. Just try playing it first

I really don't understand why people are getting so angry about this. It's an FPS for christs sake, why do you need to be upgrading 24/7? there's a whole nother game concept people seem to be missing.

Develope your actual aiming, strafing ect skills, you don't need credits to play jeeze.

I'm not buying any energy packs because although I can see ngmoco's business strategy I don't really like the idea as a consumer and I don't want other developers to follow suit.

I do plan on playing and just not earning credits.

Maybe in the future, but as of now I'm fine with free gaming.
I'd be so down for a monthly subscription too.

And I get people not paying and playing for free, but c'mon whining about not getting credits, I mean you're getting a free top of the line (iPhone line that is) game, respect their business plan.
