Relax. Go eat your Corn Flakes and then you can post again. Grump. Same goes for you. Go post in a DSM forum if you want to be condescending. Apparently some of you have trouble with humor and lite discussion.
This is a silly thread in my opinion. The games have different approaches to the FPS genre. Eliminate will be out this month, Nova in two or three. If you won't have another $6.99 to spend in two months time you probably shouldn't be buying apps in the first place. I think Eliminate will be great from the media ngmoco has shown us. I have high hopes for Nova, but if a level really takes only 2 minutes to beat (as seen in the keynote demo) they have a long way to go. Nova promises online play but so far Gameloft hasn't been great at it. Each game will appeal to its own group and there is plenty of time to save up and just buy both when they come out.
I'd say Eliminate because for some reason gameloft games always come up short in some regard. That, and they rarely update any of their games once they are out. And there online play in previous titles wasn't very good. I hope they prove me wrong though.
Both! I font care if they are both £6/$10 they will both be good, I want eliminate for the multiplayer and Nova for the singleplayer
really? when you only get 4 games per 90 mins that give you credits? really? Go nova. gameloft ftw for the idevice.
True, but how replayable is the campaign? Once you're done, that might be it, and sometimes it can be pretty boring to replay through campaigns. So then you're left of waiting for the 'multiplayer update', While on the other hand, Eliminate has no campaign, but it's focused on online multiplayer, and being focused on that, it will provide very good replayability in that sense.
Eliminate. It has online multiplayer, extremely customizable RPG elements, great graphics, from what I can see good controls, and a company I know and trust. While I like Gameloft, and really liked Sandstorm, it feels like their games are just generic copies of other games. There's no much character to them, just a pretty package and slightly above average gameplay for the most part. Blades of Fury captivated my attention for 5 minutes, than I realized how boring it was and that I wasted $6. Ngmoco always comes out with something fresh and original. I appreciate that.
I only care about multiplayer at this point, so I vote Eliminate. Modern Combat was just a boring and derivative corridor shooter, and I expect Nova will be the same. We still don't know much of anything about either MC or Nova's multiplayer. Eliminate has different character classes and customization, a pretty fresh (if a bit campy) concept, and impressive visuals. I also have a feeling it will be much more polished than Nova.
Eliminate & NOVA Both games have their pro's and con's but Eliminate is out first, has multiplayer from the start and the only thing I can really criticize about it is the recharge/power pack system... On the other hand, NOVA is a HALO rip off they should have just got permission from Microsoft/Bungie and done it right... and we don't have many details about their multiplayer system so we can't really comment... But it looks really good and will probably be great. So I will probably get both... and I'm sure almost everyone here agrees with me on this...
Great question!Eliminate and NOVA are looking great.Eliminate have cool rpg-like upgrading system and nice armors, but it don't have singleplayer and the controls look a bit hard.NOVA have singleplayer, but only Bluetooth and wifi multyplayer have been announced, but Mark Hickey sad that there is going to be voice chat and this means there will be a internet multyplayer too. Also NOVA have only few weapons, and the plasma cannon is the only "scifi" weapon. If you ask me,get both!
