I'm sorry that this happened to you, but I am looking forward to Eliminate more, but I'll probably be picking up both. It's too early to make any real impressions on Nova 'cause I don't know much about it.
Ya I'll be getting both. I feel that eliminate will go way farther in the online department but nova has a very promising campaign. Due to gamelofts lack of updates I think nova will fall short in online. But both are gonna be awesome
I dont think u guys r recalling gamelofts games: Amazingly good yet it always 100% of the time lacks something that eventually ruins the game. They r in it for the money, they came out with modern combat, then they promise multiplayer. They will never put the whole package in one game. Nova is gonna be great but there is gonna be something fundamentlaly wrong with it. imbalanced weapons, perpetually waiting for multiplayer, extremely short campaign, few multiplayer maps or gametypes, something like that Ngmoco has been working on this eliminate game for months now. I think online isnt gonna lag a bit, and they wil actualy update it. They will come right out and say they r gonna update it instead of being shady like gameloft and never put it in public writing, you know so they arent obligated towards anything. Only thing is they need more than deathmatch. They should just rip off a good game (gears maybe) and add a survival/horde mode, so you can keep playing even when you;ve exhausted multiplayer and are offline.
Both. We know almost nothing about Nova, and Eliminate should come out fairly soon, plus this is beyond the usual amount of work GL puts into most of their games. Eliminate looks good though, but i'm still curious about Nova.
Awesome. You all just buy both, and then write about which is crap, and I'll buy the latter. Genius. God, I'm good.
I'll probably end up buying both. Buying one doesn't automatically mean you can't get the other. Based on what I've seen so far, Nova will have an interesting single player mode and some killer graphics, but Eliminate will probably end up being more fun and having a tighter online mode. Seriously, you'll probably be able to buy both for less than 10 bucks total, so I don't really understand the need to choose.
Less than ten bucks total? Really? I think it will be more than that. And buying both of them??? That's like buying an EVO and an STi. You just can't do it. It's like going back in time and touching yourself. Not inappropriately, but regular. You're f**king done.
To tell u the truth i totally lost hope on Eliminate cause iPhone really good on Multiplayer and sooo im not sure if its really worth it for the Online play so im going to have to say Nova because Gameloft still makes great games and even tho they dont update its pretty safe to say there pretty damn good
Gameloft's shooters "feel" the same to me. You've played one, you've played them all. At least that's how it seems. I was disappointed with MC: S for this reason, so I think I won't be buying from Gameloft in a hurry. My money's on ngmoco .
Usually I don't play first person shooters. But Eliminate looks kind of interesting to me, I like the style of the trailer vids. I think both gameloft and ngmoco serve the iPhone market in a great way, but I feel that ngmoco puts a lot more heart and dedication in its games.
thank you for letting us participate in your thought processes. now i appreciate much more that i'm capable of coherent thinking.
Well actually, there is also Brothers In Arms and Terminator Salvation. He didn't specify whether he meant FPS or TPS, so I suppose that he meant that Modern Combat: Sandstorm, Brothers In Arms and Terminator Salvation all felt the same.
Ahh yes, I didn't take into account the third person shooters. Personally, I think those games play reasonably different from MCS, so it didn't really connect. I'm not much of a fan of any of Gameloft's older 3D action/adventure games. The engine lags and stutters too much for my taste. The games done with the new engine are much more interesting and playable, in my opinion.
