I had a similar accident with my right thumb, and started playing by setting the device down, and using my two index fingers. I find that I prefer that now...

I'm with you: an MC:S multiplayer would be more my thing than Eliminate -- more tactical, team based, larger maps, etc. But I guess I'm a sucker of the novelty of being able to play this kind of game at all on a portable device, and the leveling, equipment system is pretty neat. I have to admit that it's fun to blow away the guy with the colorful armor ;)...

I'm not sure which way to vote. Circumstantially the game is amazing. You can't really complain about a free game. I love that it's mobile online FPS, I haven't had this much fun since the metroid prime on wifi for NDS. I am married with 4 kids and work so it's nice to have something I can play a round of whenever I have a free 5 minutes despite location, that is a huge part of why I love it so much. I can't just get on XBL whenever the mood strikes but I always have my cell phone. I agree that with more maps, game modes, trading/saling eqiptment, and better controls the game would be way better but this is the first version, correct? Plenty of time to improve. Great game in my opinion. Could be better but what couldn't?

Now, on a side not MC:sandstorm is probably my 2nd favorite app right now. Is there really going to be an online for it? Because those controls are near perfect!

Maybe I'm alone on this, but this is one of the few games that lived up to the hype for me. Sure, it's very simple at the moment but I assume they wanted a great foundation before putting more into it. They know the servers do a pretty good job at this point and people are playing, so I'd imagine they will add most of the features we want in the next few updates.

I personally love the controls. At first I was so used to MC controls that these didn't feel as smooth. With practice I think eliminate has a better control scheme. The swipe to turn quickly is just perfect for a fast paced fps on a touch screen.

I just hope they have energy last for more than 3 games. I hate having to wait 12 hours for 3 games. I've even bought power cells but they feel like such a rip off with the system currently in place.

Ya the energy and power cells need to be improved. I spent the rest of my iTunes card on cells (21 dollars) and used them all in 2 days. Now I feel bad because my friends who told me to get the game are about half my level and been playing since day 1. But some of them are still beating me in every match, haha. I'm not great at the game. I wish bots could be made more difficult to make my practicing better.

I find the controls almost perfect to tell you the truth. Why? Because of the "inertia" they have given it. It's amazing once you turn down the sensitivity because you will still be able to turn around in half a second but have the ability to headshot other folks.

I personally don't see why MC controls are that much better then Eliminate's.
In MC you always have to reach for the little fire button if I remember correctly, where as in eliminate you just have to double tap.

In both cases you'll be dragging the crosshair towards the enemy once you start firing, or you can strafe the crosshairs to them.

I've given up on making the matchmaking argument. I tried, but it got me nowhere :(

30 levels? Are you exaggerating or has that happened to you recently? The biggest difference I've seen so far is 4 levels.

On average, I'm paired with people anywhere from 10-20 levels higher than me :/

Dang... Are you at a very high level? I'm at level 6 (only play it for free), and I just haven't run to a big disparity. Is that what I can expect if I keep playing?

I have to say the skill matching has been pretty right on for me. On occasion it gets a little crazy but nothing to serious.

I'm lv.28, close to 29. Back when it was in the Canada beta I had the same problem..was hoping it would be fixed once it went global. but nope. And since im paired with such high levels, obviously i dont do too great, so i lose skill, but even then, i think my skill has dropped to 5.5k, im still getting paired with people 7-9k skill rating. ingenious grouping system ng

Seems that there's not enough people at such a high level, so they're pairing you with whomever is available. Perhaps you should have the option to prioritize a good pairing rather than speed of match-up.

Well, it's free, so what are you guys complaining about? If you don't like the controls, maps, game modes, etc, then don't play. It's not like you wasted your money to buy the game or anything.

I find the pairing to be okay, but it's annoying sometimes (like when I unload and entire clip into a guys head and he keep running around:mad:).

BTW, I figured out a way around my mangled thumb. I've been using my other thumb(left) and my index finger (right). It took some getting used to, but I'm getting it.

The game is great, I just hate how expensive and quickly the energy costs and runs out. Otherwise the game is very well built from the q3 engine and is a solid fps.
