that about summed up everything i was about to post. i finally got some game time in and the gameplay is as generic and boring as i figured it would be, but i didn't expect the controls to be this rough and floaty. it's bizarre. i don't understand why they thought this control scheme was the one to ship it with. it could be so much better with cleaned up controls. i want to fight people when i play this, not the game itself. ah well. here's to those who pay their way to the top so they can cheaply spam high powered weaponry.

im afraidd i agree to a certain extent, its not the must have game for the idevice by a long chalk. small and uninspired maps aside i think the energy system is rubbish. other free to play games have much better systems than that it is however what it is, a reasonably good FPS that stretches the apple devices to the limit.
Nobody is whining, all they are doing is stating their own opinion and all you assholes are whining about it because they don't like the game and yes the game is a free bag of shit and that is my opinion so like it or leave it.
The problem is that it is not even free. It is like if someone said: "Hey you can play the game all you want, but you can only use half of the screen, if want to use you full screen, you'll have to pay me 30 USD to be able to use it for a week, afterwards it will go back to half of the screen and you'll have to pay 30 again". The only thing that is "FREE" is a crippled preview, but if you really want to play, improve on it, and obtain all the cool stuff it is going to cost you a shitload more than any paid game.
The only time i feel disappointed is when my energy is 0 than i have to cough up more $$$$ to get credits!

I agree that it's disappointing initially. The momentum rotation is way too choppy. In fact the controls and framerate in general are very choppy as compared to Modern Combat and so far I've only played in offline mode so network lag shouldn't be playing a part. That being said I'm intrigued by the credits system. I think the business model they chose is ambitious and risky. I cannot possibly see playing this enough myself to purchase any credits but it'll be see very interesting to see how the core game player reacts to the system. I think we'll be waiting on the true killer FPS app for a while. The iPhone platform is certainly capable of hosting one so we'll just have to see what time has in store for us.

the only thing about Elim that frustrates me is being grouped with ppl 2+ levels higher and thus my gear is inferior which means i die alot no matter what i do. kinda takes the fun out of it
