Does anyone know who has a higher skilled acct than mine? My noob is at rank 18 8510 skill. I'm hoping I'm the highest skilled lowest ranked player in the world! Please lmk if you lower or equal ranked with same or higher skill. One thing people don't get is that the higher level players, "pros," is that we are so tired of getting bashed out while playing against terrible playersthat we have pretty much decides to fight fire with fire. So like whoever was complaining about fingerbang7 bashing them, it happened because more than likely he is tired of getting bashed as well. As far as I'm concerned shields are open so if ur gonna use them use em. Like just b aware that higher level players are gonna be more profecient at shield camping. So if u want to bash at us, well bash at u.
That's exactly what I've been thinking - Glad you agree. I mean, if they want an FPS with no bashing, go play NOVA. I for one find it really amusing to watch everyone hooking their way around the maps - it's insane and hilarious. There's also something really satisfying about hurtling through the air like freakin' Tarzan to bash someone into last place! Of course, when you're on the receiving end, it's not as much fun...

Mj I just tried to play Eliminate-12, and it crashes just the same- one normal round, then the next one crashes. And the worst part is that I was one kill away from winning before the framerate crapped out on me. Begging for it not to crash didn't help either.

Hook-bashing as someone sprints away from you takes skill, just a different set of skills to aiming (especially if they have a speed mod, or are also hooking around the room). You try to preempt where they will go and hook ahead of them. If they're clever and have good evasive skills they wont be predictable and will avoid being slammed. If you don't see how that involves some thinking, then maybe you need to think a little harder...
Are u slow solaris7? I'm hoping that I am the highest skilled (u know the skill points u get for winning or losing a match in global.) with the lowest rank (u know, the level u attain from amassing credits over a game when u have a charge or power cells.) really didn think that was to hard to follow, but ehh I am on the Internet...
Well I don't mind be shield bash here and there but, if it's like the only resource they have to win since they can't get kills with a weapon. But for most campers it's grab shield bash and hide..that's about it! But it's eliminate.. It's funny cuz the people from skill 0-5000 didn't know about shield bashes. So it was great! Cuz no one grabbed it! Not even me! The one map lift! Pvphantasy and I played. Boy that alley with shield. Once it' was gone and everyone kept going back waiting for it to respawn. Vaporizers was just slaughtering in that game. Lotta triple kills double kills. Pv had 10kills I had like 8 and the other 2 were like below 4.
With the exception of Tank (2 shields is completely ridiculous I will admit, but very funny all the same!), successful hook-bashing requires: timing, accuracy, speed and knowing how to cut-off fleeing opponents effectively. yes, it's so much simpler than just pointing and shooting... lol Even if that were true, a successful kill this way is just so much more amusing...
I agree and usually do this. The pattern I find works best is: grab shield and bash; wait for health to charge up a bit then grab damage amplifier and frag some more. Then hook back over to the shield around the time you expect it to reappear. Frag and repeat... Let's face it: if it's in the level, someone is bound to use it. I'd rather be the basher than the bashee and it certainly livens up the gameplay considerably.
