Suggestion @ngmoco: Reading throught other Eliminate threads I've come to believe many players still don't understand the fact, they don't need energy in order to play. Maybe after the first game or so, or after after using up the current energy, the user should receive a message Saying: "Thanks for completing your first matches with your energized suit. Your energy ran out. Energy is necessary in in order to earn credits. However, you can always play online even if you are currently out of energy". Most of the stupid ratings on the App Store here in Germany come from people saying more or less: "WTF?!?!?! I played 3 matches and need pay money now, cause I can't play anymore! Instantly deleted...what a ripoff!!! Don't buy any other ngmoco games...and they sell your infos to others too!!!!!". Also you should make clear what the info collected will be used for, people are acting like you are selling their souls. PS: Calling a free game a rip-off and give it a bad rating because of that is impudent!
Expandin, maybe you're right. But trust me, playing level 70 on an iPhone 3G is, well, impossible. I've played on my friend's 3GS, and easilly beated level 15-25 (he was level 9). As I see, you own a 3GS, so you have absolutely no idea how much lag I have to face. My laggy wi-fi adds to the experience, and I have the best wi-fi you can get in damn Russia.
Yeah, I understand that and I'm not saying you're wrong. In fact you're right! I'm having the best connection here in Germany too and I'm lagging all the time on my 3GS even. I have no chance against Terrorist et al if a lag too. I get killed before I even get to see them or get to aim at them. It sucks and is killing the fun completely. I've played Eliminate on my 2G iPhone too and it should be about the same experience as 3G and I have to admit you have no chance against skilled players on 2G/3G. No matter how hard you try you can't aim and will constantly have a disadvantage against iPod 3rd gen / 3GS. On top of that you will have a disadvantage with your connection. That's why I've stopped playing right now since the lag has become out of control for me. It's impossible to predict where players might have moved while aiming and the scrolling effect adds to the complexity in aiming/predicting and being hit (vibrations) just kills it completely. I'm sorry you are having the same bad experiences. I'm hoping the performance issues will be solved and have the highest priority. BTW...I was born in Russia too Kak dela u teba moi drug?
See that why I quit. My skill was 5000 and I was matched up with people like tobasco and those level 70 fiends. Which is 2 to 3 times my level. sikichi, lets do a game like some time soon. An hour or two maybe.
yeah sure bro why not?? add me on my yahoo [email protected] or add me on my tweeter sikichi so you can pm me the time when your online
7000 skill here (lvl 38) still beating those dumbass shield campers in 70s. you need to learn to run when possible. Gravity hook is good too (The game now turned into hit and run for me and those guys in tankers cant follow me with my sniper and yea) I get 4-6 kills in though and they sometimes get frustrated when they cant camp and quit.
What elusive lvl 70s are u talking aboUt? There r very few and most that i know of would whoop ur ass.
By the way guys, can you tell me exactly what targeting sensors do? I've barely upgraded those, but have some spare credits. JinJin - I have bought all weapons, and I have the gravity hook. Used it for some time, but higher level players seem to have no problem dealing with it. I play with Tanker armor, so it's easy to find me. Also, sniping is not my style. And my favourite Antimatter Jet is useless for sniping. Vap is my secondary weapon, but I rarely use it, because it's hard to target with the lag I experience. Also, I taunt all the time, and bodies disappear after being killed by a Vap, that's bad.
Yeah, that's what targeting sensors should supposed to do. As far as my understanding goes, they help you land shots on your opponent even if would normally miss your target. So shots that were close will still hit your opponent (perhaps with only a fraction of the normal damage). PS: Wish you a pleasant flight! Hopefully you will have a good time and find a good connection in the US...let me know if you feel any improvements.
That actually is not what the targeting sensors upgrade does, just a common misconception. It actually increases the damage you deal per shot no matter what weapon you use.
U sure? Why is it called targeting sensors? It should be called damage amplifier then. Never looked it up though, so you might be right...
Yeah, you guys are right. It increases the overall damage of all weapons. Just looked it up... That's because I haven't upgraded my armor for over a month now ... strange name though still for me... how are mobile targeting sensors supposed to help increase damage?!?!?
