I think the main balance problem is there is a too bigger jump between a low level gun and a high level one, each upgrade should have only effected damage by 2-3 % instead of what seems to be like 10% each upgrade, would also make a level 50 against a level 30 a little more "fair" then being 1-2 hit because they are over twice as strong as you. So yeah I wish the difference in upgrades was much more minor, still helpful but would also mean things stay a little more fair.
Hi all, As mentioned, we're looking at the balancing issues that were introduced in 1.1. -Increased burst scatter chance on Plasma Cannon. This should make the PC less reliable on long distances. Close range opponents will still suffer significant damage. We'll continue to look at this one. -Rocket Launcher damage reduced. Because it's a weapon that has potential to do damage to multiple targets, it should not be able to keep up with other weapons for the purposes of single target fighting. -Vaporizer damage per shot was increased. Beam durations were decreased to create a more instantaneous damage effect. -Levels 71-100 were added based on the current lifetime credits earned, this will provide plenty of promotions for Arsenal Megacorp's dedicated employees. -We're digging at why jump is not performing as expected. We believe 1.1 introduced a bug to gravity in general and are still investigating. -We believe armor speeds are performing as expected. This reduction was across the board so your overall speed advantage is still comparable to every other armor's. These changes should be in effect as of this posting. Thanks for your continued feedback!
Thanks! Was the infiltrator armor's shielding decreased? It may just be me, but it seemed that I take more damage than before.
@Allen at ngmoco Are you close to releasing the prototype armors to the higher level players? We still don't have access to them (I think levels above 45 or so)
So those changes are in effect now? Were they online as 1.1 was distributed? Two hours ago I noticed that the vap lost some of it's power is that fixed now? Are level 70-100 unlocked now also? Those updates sound very promising.
I still dont see why people hate this game so much. It's a great game, fact that is free just adds that cherry on top.
I mean a decrease between 1.0 and 1.1. I have not played in the last couple hours, so I cannot speak to that.
Our tuning changes may have inadvertently touched some things it shouldn't have. We're reverting the changes and taking another look. Everyone who's in a game right now to check out the changes might be seeing the old 1.1 tuning. Will keep you updated.
Yeah...it's the best advertisment for ngmoco even if nobody would buy energy... It's one of the few games many people play DAILY... what better promotion is there? The game is still awesome even though sometimes the changes not 100% optimal. I'm certain now that NOVA will never come close to Eliminate as far as online play. It will probably have the same multiplayer mode as MC:S. So people get used to love Eliminate
We're in the process of rolling them out. First thing on deck is to make sure any bugs that crept in from the 1.1 update are addressed, then we'll be on to content. Thanks for your patience.
