Even if you lower your skill level to 0...you will be back to 9000 in 11 matches or so. You will be winning 10-0 all the time no doubt. Jumping like that: Match/Skill 1 / 1000 2 / 1800 3 / 2600 4 / 3400 5 / 4200 6 / 5000 7 / 5800 8 / 6600 9 / 7400 10 / 8200 11 / 9000
Why do you worry about your skill points? Everybody knows you're one of the best players...there's nothing you need to prove anymore!
No...i was just approximating but you're very highly skilled so you will level up EXTREMELY fast... this game is designed so it's easier to level up from 1000 to 8500 than from 8500 to 9200 but you know that... the matching system won't get fooled by you... it will clearly see that you're superior to other players and you will be boosted up again. I remember when I once went from 1500 or so to 5000 in one day.
efp1, I know it can be frustrating at times but it's part of the fun. Someone knocks me down, then I want revenge. Too bad the best players are seldom on to protect their skill numbers. I'm at 97k so I should be easy pickings for some of you. Get me if you can. I think I configured my router correctly and things have been running smoothly. Last night I played some great players and kicked their butts. Not a lot of games but I kept winning and my score shot up. I know it won't last for long.
dvessel, you are pretty good as I mentioned in an earlier post, but I think you mean 9.7k, not 97k.... otherwise I'll just quit everytime I get matched with you again.
Yeah, I get loads of lags. When it runs well for me, it's still a bit slow. Despite that I'm still on the leaderboards, which is great. I agree with you that most of the people on the leaderboard aren't even active. I think that around 5 or so in the top 10 haven't played for over a week. I haven't seen hiko, for example. Lancao, as well. I think they would drop their skills as soon as they play a match, and that's why they don't sign on. You're a good player, dvessel. You constantly beat people yet you're still human and can die. I at least get kills on you, which I can't say the same about Terrorist. I hope ngmoco clears his name so that I can at least be assured that there's no cheating. I can't get kills on him! He's very good.
I think a mod should move this to Game discussion. It's far from talking about it being released now and this thing is always in the releases column.
Yeah, but it would need to be moved back to here once 1.1 update is out... so they even bother moving this thread since it's coming within the next day as they have written in their preview.

I would love to see some change up there.... you are the craziest player ever... you have the most experience in this game as you played more often than anybody else. What time zone are you in so I know when to take a nap ?!? BTW. Do you have some tips how to modify my router settings? What's important to change?
I hope he gets the 35 points. That'll make Terrorist play in global! He only plays when he loses 1st place.
My bad. Heh, exactly what I meant. I die very often even with lower level players. Sometimes it's better to die quicker anyway instead of lingering in a corner being afraid to get killed. There's little consequence in dyeing since re-spawning is instant. It's a race to get kills. It might be better to have a kill/death ratio then I'd do really poorly.
I always remember you moving sideways... I think I haven't once seen you running straight lines I'm usually running around looking for health when I'm nearly done...I think I should also change that because in most cases time is wasted and I'm still getting killed
I play sporadically, I could be playing 3am at night. I'm EST in the states. And my router has a setting to prioritize packets. Previously it was set to prioritize all transport types (tcp, udp, etcÂ…) but what's most important are udp packets so I only set it on that.
okay I remember why I stopped playing...lag so much lag its incredible, and it doesnt help that through 6 matches the lowest level I played was a 32 which is 10 levels higher than me.
Do you guys use the auto shoot when someone is in your crosshair feature? Or should i get used to not using it? At lvl 10 with 2550 skill and getting matched with lvl 30's shooting 6 rockets at a time compared to my 2
