Question: I've downloaded Rolando 2 Chapter 1. And launched it and finished chapter 1, then open Eliminate. And my credits haven't been awarded yet. But I download etc... EPW Taztan and I got my credits instantly....Any ideas?
Wow, that's quite impressive - 140. And yeah, taunting really is. Now when I find that I kill someone and there's no one around to bother me, I just taunt away. I found one can actually taunt at least more than 5 - 6 times, that's basically a free kill-credit right there Logging into plus is probably for Rolando only, yeah, sorry.
After AR got nerfed, PC and rocket launchers are the ONLY weapons in the game. Hate it. I'll stop playing until ngmoco sorts out balance issues. Every weapon is supposed to have it's pros and cons. But for now every weapon except the PC and RL have too many cons to use them as compared to those 2 guns.
I see almost only vaporizers. Depending on the level of player your talking about there will be a different weapon of choice. There's a pretty common pattern, which seems to balance out the game just fine.
Yeah Quakelive all the way! When I'm not playing Eliminate, studying, reading, or hanging out with my fiancee that's the game I play every now and then. I do want to play a little more hardcore one day but I'll think about it after a few months of Eliminate. Also thanks for the quick response about the vaporizer, I need to figure a strategy around that weapon because it hurts a bit more than the Plasma Cannon. (Infiltrator armor seems to be less effective as I climb the ranks but I'll persist till the armor is maxed out to see it's full potential).
I'd like it more if ngmoco tried to balance out all the weapons. Seeing as PC and RL are the only thing you see until about level 30, when it starts becoming all vaps. I'd like to see every weapon usable. (except the hook, lol.)
Well maybe other weapons are more popular at other levels. But in every game I'm in. Everyone but me is using a rocket launcher or a PC. On the other hand I can't use my PC cuz 1. I live in Asia, hence major lag, making it much harder to aim the PC as compared to the AR since with the AR i can just spray then slowly adjust my aim. 2. I play on a first gen iPod Touch, meaning the aforementioned lag is even worse...
WOOTS QUAKE LIVE PLAYER. Eliminate pales in comparison to QL. And QL is COMPLETELY FREE. No energy suit BS.
You musta shook the hell out of that iDevice And you'd (or people) would complain about rail gun and rocket launchers if you played Quake 3. While we're on the subject, let me quote my earlier question. So I'm gonna guess you guys wouldn't need any time at all to get used to rocket launchers I keep saying it because I think for Quake players they must think of the phrase "getting use to rocket launchers" as noobish since they'd know how to use that one by heart. Yeah, just discovered Quake Live a little bit ago, and only signed up a couple days ago. It's just amazing that it runs so well in a browser. Can't get used to the match system though.
I never said they were OP, just OU. Sides, CSS>Quake 3 EDIT: I'd like to add that argument is kind of silly. How do you strafe effectively in such small corridors? And for that matter, you can snipe with it too. (unlike a real shotgun)
Seriously? Q3? Q3/QL is SO much more balanced than this game. The PC is not overpowered. It's that the majority of the other guns are underpowered. As I said above I can't use the PC due to my insane lag (I live in Asia) which is why I need to rely on other weapons. However, they're too underpowered for me to use.
+1 I sort of agree that the AR feels underpowered, and the PC seems to trump the RL no matter what you do. That could just be my lack of skill, however... lol.
Not really... I'm guessing the RL in Eliminate is completely different from the RL in Quake Live. The Quake Live one feels very "lightweight" and versatile. I don't have an RL in Eliminate yet (I'm only level 9 and keep getting owned by them) but I'm guessing they're a bit like the Halo RL seeing as how you gotta reload so often.
Ah, well I thought you were the OP-argument type. No really silly, you can strafe effectively in small corridors, provided it'll fit two players (which the game's maps can). I do it all the time - not saying I'm "omg pwnage". Like I said, the "pellets" spread. But I'll admit I've never used it to snipe, so I don't know how big of a spread it is (only notice it when I miss and it goes on a wall). They could probably make it spread more long-range.
