To those citing connection problems, I'm having none and never have had any, just longer times finding games and connecting to HQ. But I feel your pain da shiz wiz 19, the biggest problem with Eliminate at the moment is the 12 hour wait for MAYBE 3 games if you're lucky. And if you're reallly really lucky, you'll always connect to games in progress and never run out of energy =P
DUDE I KNOW! im so f'ing pissed off. thats all i ever get "connection errors" while everyone else in the game is taking turn shooting my head off while i stand there frozen. and the worst part is IT TAKES AWAY ENERGY.
I had few connection errors prior to the last two days, but now it has reached a level where i cant even play. I was considering buying a 9.99pack (or 7.99 whatever it is now) to get my level up but now it seems to risky because "connection errors" leech my energy up. I dont want to waste my money on something like this.
What device are you on? If possible, have you compared 3g to wifi (is 3g more consistent, even if pings are higher?) What OS version on the device? What model is your router? Is your firmware up to date? What ISP do you use? DSL, Cable, Fios? Do you game wirelessly on other devices? (xbox 360 wireless, laptop, etc) edit: Also, where are you located in the world? Any info you provide helps us help you.
Im on an ipod touch 2g, with the newest operating software, so 3.1 i think. Im on a wifi connection obviously I game on my xbox 360 online I will PM the router info and ISP thing to you in a bit because I dont want to give you the wrong info, so Ill check with my dad first. edit: im in the US, michigan to be more specific
Just finished a match where I (benpocalypse) won the match with 10 kills. The person in second place (i forget their handle) got 9 kills, but got more credits than me. Why did that happen?
That means who provides your wifi connection? Most likely who is your cable company? Comcast, Brighthouse, Cox??? Or maybe you have dial up or whatevs.
ISP = Internet Service Provider = Who Provides you internet, I don't live in the US so I dunno which ISPs you have.
All that complaining What is the deal with all those reviews of people complaining about the game? Isn't it free? For me it's enough playing 6 or 7 times a day. I'm perfectly fine with the system. They give you the option of paying for more energy which means they don't force you to do it. I really don't understand. By the way, i hated the controls the first couple of games but lately they've been growing on me.
You collect credits during the game, they are the green items that fly out when you kill people. So it means that he managed to collect more of them during the game, probably by picking up ones lying around or from other people's kills. To maximize your credits you can also taunt, which provides 1 credit per taunt (each green token is worth 1 credit as well, I think there's normally 3 per kill).
I'm having no connection problems! Match making has been brilliant and I almost never been dropped into a bad match Connection to HQ time have been variating between "impressive" and "what I would expect" I Have however experienced a bit of lag in some games. Mostly if I really got into the face of an enemy with my plasma cannon.
Woohoo! Just placed in the top 10 Global Skill! Now to finally buy a skin... Still up in the air on which one to get though.. Hmm..
For all those asking if the ability to sell weapons and armor back will become available, found this exchange on ngmoco's twitter:
its not because youre playing free, believe me...ive bought energy and have the same problems, it seems that there are just certain points during the day that the server is overlogged and i cannot play a game at all, which by the way is more infuriating when youve actually paid for it. but i saw a post from the dev saying that they have no way to detect the difference between a quit and a connection error...i think they need to FIND a way to tell the difference because its not good for anyone. one way they might be able to make things easier is to allow us to be able to choose whether or not we use energy for a game, that way you can jump in and test the lag before we hand over our free or paid energy.
They will come back at some point. We were concerned with its accuracy and since it's not as important as some of the other things we're trying to do, we'll verify when we can and put them back up. Allen
