See it from there side, if they don't use it you will They (and you) got no choice, we're all FORCED to focus on the shield. I hope they remove it or balance it (make it as underpowered as possible).
Oh trust me, I wouldn't use it if they don't. I've actually done that a few times, when the match is even (same level, something that hasn't happened to me in a looong time), I get the shield but don't chase them down. Instead I just shoot them, I don't run into them to bash them.
Same here. In theory, you could get yourself killed over and over in like 10 games in a row. Then your skill should drop and then when you do have energy you will be able to get some credits against lower skilled players. However I tried this a few times, hated doing it (feels like cheating), and my skill didn't drop that much
Well, I think the main problem is that there aren't enough people at my level with 2000+ skill. Don't get me wrong, I still have fun, but the problem is that I don't stay alive long enough to get credits; my primary way of getting credits now is by taunting, and that's no fun. BTW, I meant that I kept getting paired up against people who are level 20 and above, not 20 levels above me, that would just be ridiculous.
I know, by 20 levels above, I was referring to me. I'm level 26 with 7000 skill, so I keep getting paired with people with 8000 skill that are level 49+.
Sorry if this is a double post. I tried that, but then there's another problem: I'm usually matched up against people with a higher skill level than me; it took 18 games (yes, I even counted) to get it to drop 20-30 points, and that didn't get me to under 2000, so I just stopped trying.
Then you still use it. You can't die when you have the shield up. Something I already consider overpowered. The made this power-up to give the gameplay a nice twist, but now it's just broken. I think they should make it that damage received is 50% and shield bashing should do 50% the damage it does now. That way you can still kill them if they have the shield and when they shield bash you you won't get 100 damage, so you will be tossed away by the bash and can shoot them again.
Again, sorry if this is a double post. I think it would be fine if they separated it into 2 power-ups: one that increased defense, and one that lowered defense, but you can run into people to kill them.
Yup, I definitely agree on a change like that. Even 25%, that would be better. That way people won't even bother that much to use it. It'll even everything out better. Same thing with cloaking, they didn't make it properly invisible, you can still clearly see them if you look close enough. That makes it so that it's not that great of an advantage and people use it, but they don't guard it with their lives.
You get credits when you play against a friend right? So find somebody at the same lvl as you and play 1 vs 1 matches until you are both high enough to play against the same "skilled" players.
I haven't played that much, and I'm level 9. I haven't bought any energy packs and wait for energized before playing. I'm not finding the matching service bad at all. I haven't been put up against like level 2s or 1s and the highest I've played against is 14 usually around level 8 atm. I'm easily winning most rooms, but if what you guys say is true and my skill level goes up, I'll be fighting better players. My current skill is 1446 or something like that.
The problem is that they solely use your skill to match you up with people. So when you have a high skill level, they pair you up with people around your same skill, even if their level is 100 higher than yours. So, as you can tell, if their level is a lot higher, they have much better armor and weapon upgrades. They kill you in one shot, and it takes you 10 shots to kill them.
Saw the tweet about them changing the matchmaking process in the recent update, but there's nothing to be found about it on the where to find tab. Allen or mj care to explain what changed?
Holy shit this games matching system is extremely faggish i just had energy so i went to use it this is what happened. 1st game- paired with drix if anyone has played him u know what i mean, 2nd game paired with drix and im the only other person,3rd game paired with only drix! There was 1770 people online and i am pretty sure it coulda matched me with someone else and he is lv 35 i think (maby higher) and i am lv 23. I got 70 credits in all of the games combined and i usually average atleast 90 per game. ngmoco all of my energy was wasted and you need to match people by level
I dono about that man I get matched with mcleotto and kdaddy they're both lvl 50 and I pwn them every time.
You're level 50, what do you expect? Imagine having a level 26 and playing someone with a level 50. You think that's fair?
