iPad Eliminate [FREE Online FPS] Pulled from App Store, Servers Shutting Down 5/25 R.I.P.

I don't think they'll break even with this scheme.
Interest dies fast in this market: so many cheap games, so little time.
Most ofthe fun comes from discovering new fun games over and over.

With all the hype they could have sold this for $5, made a couple mil, and THEN sat back and added new DLC. Well see how it pans out.

 

Same thing happens to me. Getting kicked out of games alot to and not able to sign back in to HQ.

 

Are you trying over 3G or Wifi? I've found that 3G works better than some of the Wifi connections I've tried...

I second what people are saying about the server costs, etc. These online games are more of an experience... and they depend on the people actually there to help make it more fun. Yet this game actually has offline play. I've been burned by online only games before... ,cough, "Watchmen", cough...

To me the value proposition is what I'd mentioned before:

I get sporadic problems with my connection, but only over Wifi. I have yet to see any issues with 3G though, so I suggest giving the game a shot over that. See if you run into the same sorts of issues.

I am LOVING this game! Went to bed at 3rd in the world, woke up and am sitting at 5th, can't wait to get home at 2:00 and start working on top three again! I'm coming for you terrorist and c4ptain I want number 1!

 

Cant...only have ipod, no 3g available to me.

 

Hmmm, Ive had no problems with my WiFi, last night or today.

 

I was getting disconnect errors, so Allen suggested deleting and re-syncing with my iPhone.

Also reset your modem/router.

Havn't had any problems today.

Huh, well maybe try restarting your Wifi router. That helps sometimes. Also, make sure you're not doing any heavy uploading on the same network while you play. Things like torrents, web hosting, remote backups and such can slow your internet connection down, which will have an impact on the iPod as well.
