<sigh> First off - the graphics are fantastic. The motion is fluid (air 2). Kudos to the developers for keeping on top of any fine tuning that needs doing. Now... Let's talk about game-play. BORING! Full disclosure: I really like open world adventure games. Think: Fallout, Radiation Island and Elder Scrolls. I also get a kick out of some of the JRPGs. So, Eisenhorn is quite the opposite. I played and played and played just hoping I would get a chance to make a decision - ANY decision. In the end, the only decision I ever really got to make was wether to click the dots with my right index finger or my left thumb.. And ultimately, I got to decide to uninstall the game. Click this dot, climb that ladder, kill those guys... On and on and on. I won't be asking for a refund, though - the game is certainly valuable to many of you, and the developers deserve my ten dollars just for effort. And here's hoping we see many more quality title down the road - maybe even one I'd like to play.
Yes, if you're looking for an open world game this will definitely not fit the bill. Eisenhorn is a very linear adaptation of the book it is based on. Sorry if that wasn't clear from the marketing material or store page!
Unfortunately, if the issue is the sharpness we can't do much about it. The larger font isn't as crisp as when it's smaller, but it's prefectly legible... I was worried you couldn't read it!
To make sure we're being fair, here is another review, this time from 148apps.com: http://www.148apps.com/reviews/eisenhorn-xenos-review/ 2.5/5 stars unfortunately the reviewer didn't seem to enjoy it much.. fair enough! So, for anyone new to the thread, so far we have: 9/10 from pocketgamer 8/10 from AppleNApps 9.5/10 from KickMyGeek 5/10 from 148apps Hopefully we get some more (positive) reviews soon!
Yeah that's it, Other fonts like subtitle or...just fine, and graphic quality is fantastic on 12.9" .
Nadar I just completed the game. Graphics wise its a bom playing on the ipad pro 10/10 But the game has a bunch of bugs a lott of bugs Also the fighting is really not fluid The sound effects just go awey and attacks just dont hitt the target Enemys that run away ?? Go stand in a corner and do nothing If jou jump from a cliff you get stuck got that 4 times... The ending of the game the voice sounds just go away totally destroys the ending And must say the music is goddame awesome Really really nice!! The credits you say we have to wait for your new game.. But maybe finish this game first ? It has a looong way to go.. Not refunding story is ok Music rules and the graphics are topnotch just to bad i payed 10 euro for a unfinishd game Hope you will fix the game with big ass update
So... Really wanting to enjoy this. Many of the issues I'm having with the game have been mentioned by others, so I won't rehash them. However, one thing I haven't seen mentioned is navigation in this game is guesswork, which makes the game a lot less fun. I've spent a good chunk of my time in the game running around trying to figure out where the next place I'm supposed to go is. An in-game map or something similar would really, really help. As it stands, I'm currently stuck on the part where you are traveling on the interstellar ship, which is invaded by 'customs'. I can't figure out where to go after exiting the vents and defeating the first set of enemies.
The sound bug we're getting reported a lot, and we think we've got it fixed... Something that happens during long play sessions for some reason. What do you mean by attacks that don't hit? Also, the enemies running away are ranged enemies. Their AI always tries to get distance before they shoot. So if the last guy left is a ranged guy, you will have to chase him down... Not actually a bug. Which cliff did you get stuck on? Would be good to know.
You basically have to switch off all the clamps. Every time you do one the camera points at where you have to go next.
Question Why you release your game without arena mode ?? Inspired by a book but it's not a book right ...
