Online requirement either means anti-piracy or that much of the data is stored on a server. If anyone has this installed, check the file size. Process of elimination will take over from there.
Interested in this but the online requirement is holding me back. That said Id love to see a review from Shaun Musgrave to know just how good it is (could push me over the edge ).
695MB for me mine is the japan version and it's been out a few months so not sure if mine would be the same
4 pages of people bitching about online requirement. Can we start taking about the game? I don't care if you can't play it on your iPod while riding on the school bus in the morning.
Think that would require more people buying the game, which doesnt seem to be happening due to said online requirement. That said, Id love to hear more thoughts from those who actually have bit the bullet.
I have a lot of hours in as I got it the day it hit in Japan, so if you have questions ask and I will see what i can tell you a lot of it I had to figure out on my own and i also agree quit whining about it there is a zero percent chance of this not being internet required so move along
Downloading now finally and will try it out. I don't mind the online connection since we have time to be online talking about a game that requires you to be online.

I'd imagine that the online requirement is a movement against piracy rather than a iap precursor. Or perhaps a way to bring a more resource intensive game to more lower end mobiles. They may be rendering on their servers rather than relying on the devices capabilities. This looks awesome, looking forward to delving in
No buy for me as well because of always only req. None of my ios devices have 3g so wifi only and as a principle if i buy a game i want to play it wherever i go, not where some dev lets me. I know this may seem like "sense of entitlement" moaning, but heck i am buying a game, not renting it. If you want online only, then put it free. And to people moaning about 4 pages of ppl complaining, go sod off, because devs care about feedback (look and panthera frontier).

I'm not paying for a wifi locked game you know what happens to wifi locked games when the servers go or they say hey we don't want to support you lose your game and your money so while I want it I'm not giving up till they make a offline mode and if they do they most like.y will net themselves tons of buyers me included !
Bummer. Was going to buy this, but since I would want to be able to play it on my iPad while camping, I guess I'm out.
