    I have a good news
if you updated EDGE 1.1 to EDGE 1.2 your scores are not lost!
they are still in your iphone/ipod in a different file but you will need the next update to recover them. I know this bug sucks a lot, we do our best to offer you the greatest experience possible, and EDGE 1.21 will fix that

how will it work? we will read your old scores from EDGE 1.1 and compare them to the new ones of EDGE 1.2 if any, and keep only the best ones. so you can play EDGE 1.2, and if you beat a score it will not be lost.

EDGE 1.21 is on the way, be patient and don't be too agressive in your review on the app store please :)

you will also be able to continue your game.

    for example:
    - On EDGE 1.1 you finished all 43 levels, and got a S+ on every levels except a D on level 2.
    - You installed EDGE 1.2, your scores were erased, but you finished again just the first 5 levels, and you got a S+ on level 2.
    - When you will install EDGE 1.21, you will have all your scores back with a S+ on level 2, and you will be able to play level 44, 45, and 46 immediatly

we can do this because your save game for EDGE 1.1 and EDGE 1.2 are in different files... so we will do it :)

    S+ on every level, I wish ;)
You should do this with v1.3 too?

it was impossible to do between EDGE 1.0 and EDGE 1.1 because the gameplay has changed. but we did it in EDGE 1.2 and i forgot a bug inside the process. i am really ashamed you know. anyway there is a solution and i hope you will forgive us when you will have EDGE 1.21. Maybe it will take a week to Apple to review it, be patient

Unless of course, I was stupid enough to delete EDGE 1.2 from my iPhone and install it from scratch (or actually, sync a fresh 1.2 via iTunes). That way my 1.1 scores are definitely lost, right?

Yeah. Deleting the app deletes all data associated with it.

    Thought as much..

Oh well, at last this doesn't affect my global scores :)
... Hm, come to think of it, a sync back from the website would be cool!

So I never got to buy edge

Aside from beta testing my actual budget for games is truly slim

BUT I just wanted to say that I really appreciate that Mobigames is not only taking the time to fix a bug to get the old scores back but also making sure you are getting the best of both 1.1 and 1.2 scores.

It's things like this that really show us how some devs really care about making sure their customers are getting the best gaming experience possible.

    Cheers!

Actually, I think you may be alright. I delete apps from my iPhone all the time and then resync them from iTunes and I still have my saved games. If you completely deleted the app file from iTunes, I'm not sure if you'd still be alright though.
