Its there to be spent, well that's what I tell myself! There's been quite a few good games lately, reviews just help sway me
100 levels only? I have been looking forward to this and well, it may look kinda short to me, I would look at Highborn first.
If you're not interested in the artwork there's not much here to entertain you. It may only be 100 "levels" but pixel art is insanely time consuming, some of the pictures are years old by now but even those ones have been edited to work with the game, some hard work has gone into putting this together.
Woah cool! It would be neat if the game would throw random pictures at you using the target and circles sliced up (you can experience these in the web demo - the airplane/golfing picture and the diver/fish ones) and for extra credit they could do the Warioware Twisted bit and make you rotate them into place/etc. Nifty 3D-ish effects with the pixel art! Play the web demo, then imagine tilting your iPhone to move things! Neat trippy game to show off the accelerometer! Two (pixelated) thumbs way up, this one is a joy to play with. EDIT: Is that a nekkid lady I see in the 2nd screenshot? (There's another one on a ladder in the web demo...)
Can't argue here since I know before post that they are all hand-drawn. I was not saying it is not great as an art, but like PathPix, you can never get enough as a game. The purchase can wait....
I wish there is coming more pictures. It's only 10 minutes game, but its very nice and beautiful. Nice idea and all, only one thing what i wish MORE PICTURES .. and you can choose the level / that picture
Are updates with more levels planned? If so, it's probably worth getting. Otherwise, I'll be waiting for a sale.
if you're looking for a 'game', no amount of added levels are going to make it worth purchasing. as it is, basically an art gallery, there's no sense of challenge and there aren't high scores to beat. for me, the 'game' was trying to see all the hidden action going on in the more-detailed scenes because once the picture is fixed, you can't peek behind objects. hopefully, for your sake (and anyone else who doesn't want to pay more than a buck for a pixel art gallery), they do put it on sale. i bought it and was satisfied, but i can sympathize with those who are on the fence. the sad thing is, it seems a lot of people get it, rush through it, and give it a bad review because they beat it in ten minutes...all the while, completely missing the point of the game.
Well, I didn't mean to say that I don't appreciate pixel art. I also know how long it can take to make good pixel art. All I'm saying is that I'd like to know if this gallery is going to be updated with more art in the future, and that it would affect my personal decision on whether or not to get it at it's current price.
i guess that was where i was confused. i'm not sure how many more images need to be added to make it worth the price. i mean, a hundred is quite a lot. then again, some of them are pretty lame...and yeah, i'd like to see more added in the future.
