In Manhattan -- office chairs wobbled -- very weird vertigo feeling. Would prefer never having to experience that again. Ever.
My friends from USA said me about earthquake. They are from Washington and they felt tremors even near Capitol
Has there been a reason for this besides the world is ending. I mean there is no fault line and it's in the middle of a plate. I don't get it.
I love how the news is going crazy over it. I mean, i know it's rare, but damages were very minimal and nothing in comparison to japan earlier this year.
coconutbowling, yeap, you're right! And as the proof for your word it is a little report of earthquake: http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/stunning-photos-of-damage-caused-by-the-east-coast
I never felt a thing but others said they did I spoken with. And I don't think the real focus is on any minimal damage done (if any) its the fact the we rarely get these type of quakes. And why no aftershocks? I'm still waitin.....
There was really nothing horrible; very little damage, and very few people injured (no serious injuries) The only remarkable aspect of this event is its relative rarity in this part of the country With Hurricane Irene hitting in a few days, it looks like the east coast is in for a rough week
The news here (UK) has pretty much ignored it (well like 30 sec an hour) I've been watching Sky News for a few hours trying to find out a bit more (I know someone in New York I haven't been able to contact as yet). Tv here seems obsessed with showing libyan rebel shooting their guns at nothing and shouting for the cameras. The one thing I did catch was no injurys which seems unlikely.
