    promocode session 3 ended.

I hope you like what you see. If you have any ideas, critics, anything else, you're welcome to share this. Please, take a minute to review, this is very much appreciated. Thanks:)

I have promocodes to give away. Like before you have to be a member in this forum with at least 10 serious posts or threads (not spam) in the past. I will check you're stats. I don't want code leechers to take the codes too easily. Simply post in this thread that you want a code. I will private message you a code. I will also announce when the codes are gone by editing this first post. One more thing: If you try the game with iPad, you should hold the device in portrait orientation because bouncing up (jumping) will work much better, I advise you not to play in Portrait Upsidedown(!). This is a restriction due to hardware. I unfortunately discovered this very late in development :-( and there is not a lot developers can do about: The accelerometer is not centered but in the upper right corner causing different acceleration values in Portrait and Portarit Upsidedown due to different momentum when bouncing, tilting is not a problem though.

Looks pretty interesting and slick. Not many impressions to go by. Are you mainly just trying to roll the sphere from spoon to spoon without it falling?

I'd probably be interested in giving it a try.

  3. I will give it a try. Thanks for consideration.

Yes, you roll/jump from spoon to spoon or hand to hand, as soon as you touch objects they are transformed into gold. Score is also depending on time. You've to catch the moon to have your score being valid and saved. For jumping you need to bounce up your device, tilt to roll.

I will also add more levels and other objects as soon they are ready to go

    Still interested?

Yep, still interested. You've got me curious, particularly in how well the jumping mechanic works.

funny, just posted seconds ago about restriction with jumping on ipads ;-):
on iPads it's better to play in portrait (not upside down) due to difference in momentum, means acclerometer will deliver much smaller values in upsidedown depending on how players hold their device in upsidedown orientation, see edit in first post.

Wanted to say thanks for the code! Very cool and unique game (although with the way you gotta move your iPod - I don't think I'll be playing in public). I do wish there was some way to calibrate...especially when it comes to jumping. The rolling is still pretty hard, but jumping the right distance trying to bounce up your iPod is really difficult.

Still trying to see if I can get the hang of it. Definately an imaginative use of the iPod Touch's accelemeter. It may work even better on a newer device (I've got an iPod Touch 2G) with a gyroscope.

Thank you very much for your feedback! Indeed control works better on devices newer than iTouch 2G! I will try consider callibration for one of the major releases (V1.x). My mother also asked me for this, she likes to play on her couch in relaxed position. Although I'm afraid that it might reduce the immersion, I willl try to get callibration into the game and see if it's a help. May I contact you for beta testing this?

Would be cool if you continue trying. I implented control purely based on physic forces, not animation, so it mimics difficulty of real world circumstances to throw an egg precisely. I found that when jumping it's good to make a tiny fast move down before immediatly bouncing up.

This would be cool thing and I really thought about it already. I would love to add this feature, but at the current state other things have priority. I'm working alone and don't have a coder background, so this a tough part to add.
