How would it feel to operate on the mobile? There was an interesting review. The story is told as a team, but the battle is fought by himself or herself. If you win the battle, you will see your colleagues reappear in hiding somewhere. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #4 ramzarules, Jan 26, 2018 wait... this is the trailer for Earth’s Dawn. At least i found out is IS legit, since the game is published by One or Eight on Switch and called earth wars. At this price might even buy. Also it gives me some faint hope for Vanillaware games coming to mobile Dailon80 Well-Known Member Nov 10, 2014 3,574 66 48 Program Director/Radio DJ Eos #8 Dailon80, Jan 26, 2018 Glad it’s legit since I bought it ha sure looks cool I can see how it might get a bit repetitive but for $4 it looks fun enough to kill some time and opinions do vary so it may be something someone really enjoys more than others might I like the graphic style squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,709 1,235 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, Jan 27, 2018 Played through the first mission and I’m enjoying it quite a bit. The combat is fluid and flashy, it controls well, and the art direction is distinctive. The animation style won’t be for everyone, but I’m digging if. And there’s enough of a story to keep me engaged. I do wish that your squad mates would actually contribute to the combat (particularly for the boss fights), and it would be great if it wasn’t so linear. So far, it seems worthy of the price. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #10 LordShad0wz, Jan 27, 2018 I purchased the game. I played the first mission. I have to say I like it. I like the art style a lot. I love that you can create a male or female hero character. I wish more devs would give us this option. I get tired of games where all you get to play as is a woman. I never liked it. In this game you get to choose. The combat is very fluid. The on screen controls are very easy to use and after the first few areas of combat you will be flying around using your sword as well as your gun. Its great. The boss battle is pretty hard. Its definitely a Japanese style game and its great. The story line is pretty cool as well. Theres a lot to this game to keep you playing as well. Theres a full skill system and for players who want it easy you can choose from presets like attack, defense, balanced, or other options. Theres a full armor and weapon crafting system in the game and its streamlined as well. I already upgraded my Katana so it does 8 damage instead of 7. The visuals of the weapon do translate into the game. I think the game is worth its price. Its fun and has great controls as well as lots to achieve. One thing I do not like, and Ill be writing the devs about, is that your squad helps with absolutely nothing. They just stand around yelling. They disappear when the boss appears. Why bother having them there?? Billy L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,404 418 83 #11 L.Lawliet, Jan 27, 2018 Oh man I love Vanillaware games. I think I might get this. The art doesn't look that good compared to other Vanillaware games but reading the Steam reviews, they're generally really positive and say there's a monsterhunter-type grind and craft system that sounds really fun to me. Price seems really good so I think I'll have to give it a try. Does anyone know if this is a crazy battery burner? I hope not. Fighting feels way to stiff and not fluid. The controls are great, it's just the core fighting is designed strangely. I keep getting hit because the attacks are very clunky and it's hard to cancel out of moves. That aside, the rest of the game is fantastic. Potentially very very long length. Lots of side missions, crafting, skill customization, character design customization. Pretty much everything is amazing except the fighting (to me). It easily makes my hands hurt unlike some other great 2d beat em up type games. There's no way they'd change the mechanics but I wish you could attack cancel and speed up attack animations so they don't feel stiff.
