EA with Chillingo AND Popcap under its wing? They just bagged Appstore casual gaming. Which is all good if they keep a hands off policy like they've done so far with Chillingo.

They can do what they like to it as far as I'm concerned. I got Peggle out of them, PvZ was alright, Bejeweled is dreadful... not much else to speak of really.

Why would it, the way Popcap makes their games is the exact reason why EA bought them out. Changing anything would seem rather silly wouldn't it. Anyway, it just shows how successful Popcap is now, I'm not sure why all the hate on EA but we'll see how it turns out.

Generally speaking, they cannot surpass Gameloft currently.

Are you trying to tell us the company that sells cheap clones of the other company's games is the better company.

Lol, I mean Gameloft is much stronger than EA financially.

Oh... so the company with $147 million revenue (2008) is stronger financially than the company with $4.02 billion revenue (2008). Yeah I'm totally just being a dick now.

Hahahah I nominate as a misled post. Battlefield bad company 2 ALONE Outsold gameloft's revenue. Same thing will happen for battlefield 3.

A 2009 thread? I'm sure that means everything now in the middle of 2011 where the AppStore has evolved faster than any video game market in the past two years. Gameloft has never been ahead in any case in terms of revenue. What does the preference of a bunch of people on TA have to do with anything?

There's a few things very wrong with this poster, but otherwise, it's pretty cool. Too bad Gameloft's revenue falls short of a bunch of these guys, huh?

Ah, on the App Store. Yeah I can imagine that happening, but EA have their fingers in quite a few other pies too ;) I dunno how much gaming you do, but they're one of the biggest publishers in the world across all platforms. Those boys aren't going broke any time soon.

Agreed, and we can see over Chillingo, and Firemint's new game.

...Pretty like a irony that a lot of times I see people saying gameloft ripoffs and clone bla bla...indeed they are actually the loyal buyers of gameloft games.

Some of those definitely will not be under EA in the near future (Really Square and Capcom?)

As a consumer It has no immediate effect on me. I will abstain from any positive or negative opinions until the games I like to play are affected.

Hehehe, never thought it turns out such a big hot debate! :D For some simplest and purest thoughts, against monopoly or whatever, I want popcap can keep possession of their company and make popular games.
