Just got Need For Speed: Undercover. I'm enjoying it so far. Great deal at $.99 I don't know if you know this, but you can skip the cut-scenes by just tapping and then hitting the forward (skip) arrow. It really helps
Got NFSU, Madden, Tiger Woods, Fifa and Yahtzee. Thought about Trivial Pursuit but according to reviews it crashes more often than not. Anyone have any luck with that one on a 3GS?
How is Madden? I kinda of wanted to get it but the some of the reviews are doubtful about the games mechanics. The other consideration goes to Tiger because I have all the rest.
Yeah, I knew that - I'd still love a button in the options to skip them all. No real complaint - the game is great, especially for a buck!
i think what this sale prooves beyond all doubt is that people not only love a bargain, but it makes the developers lots of money! on top of that its good exposure for the company and brand as a whole. whilst perhaps this pricing mechanic doesnt really work too well for indy developers, for the big names its quite a good business plan. also, have EA given up on releasing new games or are they being all saved up for a reason?
I picked up NFS:Shift, C&C, Tiger Wood PGA and NBA Live sweet man... hope gameloft will follow and do a big round of 99 cents sale soon, hehe
My feeling is that it's a clearance sale, similar to how any store or company gives a massive sale just before new products arrive.
I think EA wants lot of exposure on the top chart to coincidence with the release of iOS4 and iPhone 4 as that will bring flock of new users on board. Smart move I would say.
Hey guys, I read a lot of the reviews, and this is what people said: Both NFS games crash a lot You can't save your season in Madden The graphics in NBA Live suck I was gonna get all of these games but this might keep me from getting some of them. Can anyone confirm the above things as true or false? I have an iPod Touch 3G 32GB with 4.0 installed. Thanks!
1. I have both NFS games, haven't experienced any crashes so far (played each for about an hour). 2. Buying Madden today, will try it out (though will most probably be playing casual exhibition games most of the time). 3. Not only are the graphics mediocre, the whole game is a bust EDIT: I'm on an iTouch 3rd Gen (32gb)
Was wondering if anyone was going to ask about it. This "game" quite amazed me and has become one of my favorites. It's like a choose your own adventure story. You get to decide what you want to do. You might focus on studying and do well in school. You might focus on watching TV and get acquainted with the popular girl. Or maybe focus on sports and get the nice girl...or the goth girl. You decide. In the midst of it are some mini games that are fairly simple, but add an interesting mix to the game. Amazingly, I got totally sucked into the game and spent some late nights working through two storylines. This is definitely not my usual type of game, but it really took me in. As for in-app purchases, I have not purchased any yet, though I would like to so I can create new stories. One complaint with the in-app purchases are they are short. The original game is nice and long. Also, there is a special "Airing now" section. This lets you download the latest story for free. But these episodes only stay until you download the next "Airing now" episode. Every two "airing now" episodes become a single DLC. To catch up, there is a single DLC for the entire Season 1 of the game (20 episodes or so) for $4.99. The game is kind of about high school and the decisions kids make. It's kind of soap opera-ish. But if you like making choices to decide your own story, then you might like this game.
FIFA is not that good. I was disappointed by the graphics and controls. Madden should be more fun and realistic
