Another good one is Freeverse (for publishing flick fishing, slotz, etc). Of those I think EA is doing a good job of bringing major titles with a lot of depth to them, but some are missing things to make them GREAT. Gameloft I don't own any games for and I do like a lot of the variety Chillingo offers (I have sneezies, iDracula, and a few others). It depends on what people are looking for but overall a lot of the publishers have rather cheap games in terms of what they're offering while EA is mostly >$4
I like Chillingo the best. They have many different games, and are going to release several amazing looking ones soon!
I'm not gonna choose one on the poll but as of late EA and Chillingo have been releasing a lot of better than average games.
all of them except ea. yes, i'm still annoyed over the fact that some of their games are (a) not available internationally or (b) available but only after a couple of weeks since it has been released in the US or (c) priced higher in non-US stores. (but i like their games a lot. )
Totally agree. I picked Ngmoco because they have released quality games time after time and there upcoming lineup looks awesome (StarDefence).
Ngmoco because they released games that are made carefully. (Yes another Rolando fan. I don't get why people don't like it.) Look at the quality of Rolando. They didn't have to update it at all because there were no bugs at all. The only times they updated it were to ADD more things, not to fix anything. Lag free game play with excellent music.
This is a tough choice, i would normally pick gameloft but EA has some games I really like ( NFS, Tetris, Tiger woods ) so I picked EA. (I really LOVE NFS)
No offense to the Chillingo guys, but their stuff has been less than great lately. On top of that, they haven't been promoting their stuff very well either.
I think the winner for small dev is Ngmoco hands down. As for the large dev, EA also wins imo. Chillingo has been releasing a lot of stuff but quality is lacking in some areas. Gameloft also releases a lot of stuff but it appears their older stuff just dies on a vine. EA, at least the games I've bought, continue to get updated months later. Plus their newer titles appear to have been done very well.
I tend to agree wit ngmoco. Chillingo has released some pretty bad stuff lately (e.g. io) or things they don't promote (e.g. Flip Disc). I like EA because the games released this week are top notch (e.g. Tiger Woods, NFS). Gameloft is good too, but lately, their games are loosely similar to Hero of Sparta (e.g. Assassin's Creed, Terminator Salvation)...not necessarily a bad thing.
I think part of the problem with Chillingo is the overall quality of their releases. Yes, they have some fantastic titles on the market right now, and some excellent ones to come (Toki Tori, Circuit Strike. One) - but they also have games that aren't so great. ngmoco have a consistent quality level, but they aren't releasing as many titles as the other three - but having said that, the Rolando series is beginning to take shape, with regular level packs and now the sequel coming this summer.
How can you compare ng:moco with Gameloft??? Come on... just think of Let's Golf and Brain Challenge...
Gameloft are second as they all have quality games On top stop a head and foot above the competition is DSeffects!
