    Less freemiums?

  3. Good riddance! Down with wait timers, and crappo games!

Wasn't happy what EA did with Chillingo, RR3, or Firemonkeys.

    So, good riddance!

It was Connector's boycott that pushed him over the edge.

  5. Probably not.

  6. Hehe... But I bet you he was pressured to leave. Good riddance!

    Haruhi,

I really think EA would have had a lot more successes without him in the last 6 years. If Real Racing 3 and Simpsons is the best success he can mention, then he needs to get his vision tested. RR3 should have been the best game on ios EVER, instead it became a ton of flamewars over nothing.

But actually, I am more upset with what he did with Chillingo. Chillingo was the best publisher by far on ios, now, not so much.

    So sad.

If the infographic EA released a few days ago is any indication, Real Racing 3 does seem to be successful. I can't imagine the next Real Racing game will return to a paid model even under new leadership.

    Edit: Lol, yep.

Haha, well Hodapp's post count isn't actually how many posts he has. I'm sure he does have more though. In any case, I've been almost four years! Time flies.

He's not the only one with that disability!

On topic: This isn't going to change EA much, the entire company is following a vision, not a single man. On top of that, the money is agreeing with the vision, they've got no reason to deviate from their current plans unless it begins to affect their profits.

Hopefully EA heads in a better direction when a new CEO is found.

  13. My point is not that RR3 made any money, which we will really never know. It is that it should have been the #1 grossing game ever. Easily, whether it was freemium or paymium or premium.

If you have a great product like RR and make no money, then I would have to think that something is really wrong. I would think the game would make money almost without any leadership. So I am not disputing that RR3 would make money, but it should have been hands down a HUGE success, the best success ever.

So what exactly do you think would have made RR3 the number 1 grossing app in the App Store if there isn't a problem with its pricing model or EA's leadership? There certainly wasn't anything wrong with its gameplay IMO.

Edit: EA Mobile is proud to introduce Real Racing 4, now with 100% fewer cars, 100% less racing, 100% more city-building... and 693 Pokemon!

Pokemon and no wait timers and other stuff to cripple the game.

Focus on racing and ai and real multiplayer.

    Add icloud saves.

Pay by circuit instead of $100 cars.

Make it less of a repair shop simulator and more into a real racing game.

    And other stuff.

Edit: If my pet donkey was CEO of EA, RR3 still would have made money!

But my gripe is not with RR3, but I feel the Ceo hadn't done a good job. I'm much more disappointed with what EA did to Chillingo. Anyway, I hope EA will come back someday. We shall see whether his departure makes any difference. But I think it will.

  16. As soon as he became CEO, EA turned to **** in my opinion....good riddance from me, I hope his replacement will help move EA back to games like Nightfire
