DAMN I HATE WORK! And I don't think my manager would see E3 as worthwhile to leave work early... Is there anything big for tomorrow? I'm off tomorrow :(

Which is why Apple, IMHO, needs to integrate AppleTV into the iTouch/Phone line, by which I mean release a true next gen iTouch/Phone in about a year and a half to two years that does everything AppleTV does that it currently doesn't (and the only things, really, are HD video, physical connection to ethernet, and large HDD for large capacity storage. How? Package each purchase of the iTouch/PhoneHD with a box (in the guise of the current AppleTV, but without the CPU/GPU, etc.) that acts like a physical pass through to the larger storage, physical internet connection, and charge station.

    Viola!

Two birds (mobile and home multimedia usage), one stone.

Awesome! Thanks! Glad I didn't miss sony or nintendo, in fact I don't care too much for microsoft, as I don't have an Xbox since the original... But I'm off tomorrow and want to see Sony's show... Anyone know if EA has showed off C&C for iPhone yet? I'm dying to see that!... :D

    Watching the Nintendo press conference.

Waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out and admit the entire press conference is just an episode of punk'd.

    This is.... amazing.

I just don't like what Nintendo press conferences have turned in to. Remember before the Wii? It was Reggie on stage shooting a Desert Eagle of awesomeness from his hip with unlimited ammo with non-stop cool games and other neat crap.

Now it's an hour of some weird soccer mom going on about Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Wii heart rate monitor, then "Oh yeah we also have some games."

I miss the old Nintendo. :(

Oh Sony, don't ever change. You idiots just couldn't resist throwing a new Memory Stick format in there either!

    "Old Nintendo"

    Dude...this is the "old Nintendo".

Does no one but me remember the friggin' NES and the stuff Nintendo was pulling off on that system to try to target "everyone"?

I mean...Nintendo was doing the same stuff back in the NES days.

Remember R.O.B. and the Power Pad? WiiMote and Balance Board, etc. are basically the evolution of "old" Nintendo. And they kinda had to do it, because, y'know...money and all. They hit the wall trying to go after that "hardcore" gamer demographic, meeting with lower and lower sales each passing year. Going back to the NES roots has been successful for them financially.

I'm just glad they finally got their heads out of their asses and made a 2D Mario platformer for the home console. Hopefully that move forces Sega to follow suit and we'll get a new 2D Sonic platformer for the home consoles, because, although I dug Sonic Unleashed, I was (along with many others, it seems) thinking Sega was taking Sonic back to the 2D roots.

BTW, I was close with the Metroid thing. Thought for sure it would be NST doing it...but Team Ninja? Cool. Though I really do wonder about Nintendo going to outside developers to do stuff more and more this gen instead of their own. What is NST doing? What is Retro doing? Are they doing anything?

    Jeez...they are idiots, aren't they?

I mean, they could've just gone with the same memory stick format as is on the current model, removed the UMD, stuck an 8GB SSD in there (memory stick expansion negates the need for larger internal memory, IMHO), and been done with it and priced it at the same price or lower than the current model.

    But, what do they do?

    They pull a Sony.

    Friggin' boneheads.

Can't wait to play Wii Sport Resort this summer, the additional sports they added looked great!

Now, the other companies, pre-natal sounds promising, can't wait for it to be applied on a media center HTPC which controls the TV/PC with just your hands. You could even set a order of preference of control depending on who is present, so only one person can control at a time.
And Sony... they fell right into the trap, PSPGo and WiimoteWand!

They lost me after showing the player throwing a virtual frisbee at a virtual. The point of video games is to do stuff you aren't able to (or at least easily get away with) in real life. If I want to throw a frisbee at a dog, I will either use the one I have or go to a shelter. The graphics'll be better, the resolution'll be better, the physics flawless, the dog'll be realistic, I mean, come on, Nintendo!
