Scott, For X4, here are two hints about blue and green, mentioning which dots are connected in the last move: Blue: Spoiler The last move connects the dots in columns 2 and 3 Green: Spoiler The last move connects the dots in columns 4 and 5 For X5, here is the final position for green (one of several options): Spoiler _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ X X _ _ _ X X _ _ _ _ _ X X _ X X X X _ _ Does this help? Regarding the hidden achievement: I am working on the solution saver feature as we speak and will look into it again soon (the problem is I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on any of my devices). I will send you a PM with a few questions. Thanks for pointing it out!
I've done it! I've just mastered X6!! Now, I think that this was by far the hardest of all the puzzle to master! The achievements for the solving all the hard puzzle and mastering all the hard puzzle did not unlock for me. From what I read, i'm not the only one experiencing this issue. Will this be fixed in next update ? Congratulations to Roundabyte for this excellent game. I'm looking forward for new levels
Well done!! Thanks for the kind words! New puzzles should come soon! I hope to submit the update in the weekend or early next week! This afternoon I have created some more puzzles, so I have a larger pool to choose from =) I have about 50 new puzzles now and will choose the best 20 for this release. The hard puzzles achievements will be submitted correctly in the new version.
WOW!! That was crazy hard - but your hint helped a lot. Just finished all levels and am elated!! Best puzzle I played in 7 years of owning an iPhone. I need to rest my brain now
Awesome! You rock! With the current average of 9 days in review by Apple, you'll have a couple of weeks' rest till the new puzzles are out...
Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know that a few minutes ago I have submitted the update for review. Hopefully it will be out somewhere next week. This update contains 20 new puzzles and two new achievements for completing and mastering them. The new Progress Saver will allow you to store your current progress for each puzzle (whether you have reached the solution or not) in 3 slots. I will let you all know when it's out. Make sure you have at least 65 puzzles solved to access the new ones. If you have other hint requests in the meantime, feel free to ask! Keep puzzling!
Why won't you set the game free and let people play 20 levels for free and let them unlock the rest with IAP, think you get more downloads that way, it's just a suggestion.
Hello everyone, The update is finally out! I hope you'll enjoy the 20 new puzzles! For those who have completed the hard puzzles, these might seem a bit easier, but hopefully they will still be entertaining. I did my best to create patterns that are fun to solve, and tried to avoid those that have a ton of dots and might become "tedious". There are also 2 new achievements for completing and mastering all 120 now. Please let me know what you think about the Progress Saver. You can activate it in the game menu and it allows you to save the progress to three slots for each puzzle, even before you have completed them. Looking forward to your feedback!
I know I without trying the progress saver will be great. Esp when you know a certain amount of initial moves are correct, you can just start from there when you mess up rather than from scratch. I'd first came across this in logic dots recently and thought it was genius, wish more puzzles that are heavy going would include as it would make me stick at it a bit longer. Off to update now
Thanks, Roger! Thank you also for the idea of making it free. I might consider it at some point, but for now will stick with the paid version. Hopefully this update will generate some more downloads.
Alex, Just got this tonight and played pretty quickly through level 24 so far. Very nice. I like the mechanics and can see this being challenging and fun. The undo is nice to have. I have not tried all the new features. I read the thread- looks like not a lot of movement. I am not sure if everyone on the thread that is praising it got promo codes, but you have 0 ratings on the iTunes store. I wrote one, but the other people that are liking this puzzler should give it some love on the App store - I understand if you got promos, you can't rate it, which is a shame. Anyways, I hope you don't have to resort to F2P type payment mechanics. And best of luck!
Thanks for reminding me, Pluto, I just renewed my rating on the AppStore. 5 stars easy and a vote of confidence too The update is out not even 24 hours, so that is why you don't see the reviews. Just select "all versions". Alex, the update is great! The game was already awesome as it was, and now "20% more". And I forgot how difficult moving around some dots can be
I did check all versions and i saw no reviews. Strange as this is a nice puzzler, no time limits, minimalistic graphics, non-intrusive background music, should be a popular app. Edit - now previous reviews showing. Strange. Oh well, left a 5 star review, good job to the devs, and best of luck. Please dont sucumb to the evil F2P model that is sucking the lifeblood from the universe as we know it.
Thank you! And don't worry about switching to F2P. I don't like that model either and never plan to go that route. The only thing I would maybe agree to is to make the app free with some puzzles, then a single IAP to unlock the rest (no timers, ads, multiple IAPs, paying for hints or new puzzle packs etc.). But I don't see that coming in the near future either. While it is important for me to cover the development costs (I have worked full time on it for 5 months + some more time spent with the updates), it's much more important to deliver a product that people enjoy and I can be proud of. And I definitely wouldn't be proud of making a F2P game. Thanks a lot, saosijs!
Ive left reviews and rating and I have gifted the game to three members of my family who I told to leave ratings if they didn't have time to write a review. Just checked with them and two of them are adamant that they have done so, the other one forgot but is doing it right now. We could be talking about different stores (mines uk) but I haven't checked, or there's some delay with them getting through at apples end. I wish apple would change somethings so that ratings (preferably the whole review) were universal so that it shows the whole picture instead of just for that country the buyer is located in. iTunes is telling me customer reviews are Unavailable, maybe that's why it's being weird.
Thanks a lot, cloudpuff! When I released the game and joined this forum discussion, I have decided never to offer promo codes in exchange for reviews, because I wanted to receive only unbiased ratings/reviews from people that really wanted to do it. That's why I appreciate so much what you (and others here) did! I would like to clarify a bit how the ratings/reviews work on iTunes/AppStore for anyone reading this, based on what I understand so far. By default, Apple shows only the ratings for the current version of an app. From my point of view, this is both a good thing and a bad thing. It would be a very good thing if I, as a developer, have released a product that has, for example, a nasty bug that makes it crash on startup for some devices. This would get me a lot of bad reviews. However, when I release an update and fix the bug, I'm oh so happy that Apple hides those 1-star ratings. They are still available if you select to view the reviews for all versions, but at least my app does't show up as having 1-2 stars anymore. On the other hand, if my version before the update had a very good score (like Dwelp had a full five stars), when all those ratings are hidden under the All versions section and after the update I'm left with an app that "didn't receive enough ratings to display an average", it can drive potential buyers away. Also, for each update, Apple won't display an average unless there are at least five ratings (as far as I know). That's why the reviews don't show up on the store for some time. What I've also noticed is that right after an update, the reviews (all of them) act a bit weird at times. As for showing the reviews from all countries, I wish too that Apple would change that, because it happened to me many times that an app I wanted to get didn't have any reviews in my country, so in order to make an informed decision I to change the country on the iTunes store to US and read the reviews there. Sorry for the long post. Hope this sheds a little light on the matter.
Thanks for the reminder to update reviews! Sometimes I forget, and I think it's really important that we do what we can to support wonderful games like this. Just updated mine.
Also, Apple prevents anyone that got a promotional code from leaving a review - so the promo code for a review no longer works...
