How do i reach the gold kept on the islands in level 72? I've tried everything i could think of - putting the TNT in alignment with the TNT on the island, putting it on the small island corridor which leads towards the chests and generally bombing anything i could think of but all i get is ONE single ggold block from the island. The TNT on the island refuses to blow. I thought maybe the TNT behind pressure-plate-gates were more powerful which was why they wanted us to spend additional tech on it but that too gives me the same result of a single gold block. What do i do? Please tell me so i can finally see what the gollum is like on the next level!

Are you certain you are lining up the TNT properly? Sounds as though it is one spot to the right/below where it should be.

Success. Thanks again. I hadn't realized that there could be areas within shovel range, but not accessible until after you illuminate them with a torch. In fact, I'm in awe that anybody figured that out.

Someone on Facebook says there is a dragon hammer in the market for 3400 gems. I'm not seeing that in my market. Do you all have it in yours?

Yes, Mighty Dragon Hammer, power 87. Adds a 75% chance to hit nearby blocks while mining. 3200 (!!!) gems.

Besides the fabulous price, I'm a bit leery of the "hammer smash" concept. There are a lot of times when I don't want to hit nearby blocks.

Was it a guild quest prize at some point?

Thank you, Ctex. I don't think it was a guild quest prize. I wonder where it came from or how one gets it. Does anyone have any ideas?

[Side note to newer players: You know that there are secret picks on levels 2, 18, and 58, right?]

Today I posted this question on Facebook:
    Dwarven Den just responded:
Editing to add that Dwarven Den also says the Dragon Hammer can only be purchased in the market using gems.

    From facebook:
LaShay Connor Can it be forged?

Dwarven Den Hi LaShay, this Hammer can only be purchased through the Market using gems.

They do need to do something to encourage people to spend money on gems; I don't see it in my market right now, though. And 3400 gems seems insanely high to me. Surely they cannot expect us to spend $100 for a slight boost...

Though that could be a very low level player who quoted the price; prices drop as you advance through the game (better gear comes available as you clear levels and/or forge higher quality equipment, with the older gear dropping in price eventually to just one gem).

Good points, Darian. In BFS' Dragonvale they also list very high market prices for certain items -- prices that almost no-one would pay. My guess is that the purpose is to create a favorable contrast. In Dragonvale instead of paying 3000 gems to outright purchase a rare dragon, using 300 gems to speed up breedings in order to get that dragon seems reasonable in comparison. It could be the same here in Dwarven Den with this new hammer. When a player is at a low level and sees it listed in the market for 3400 gems the price seems outrageous. However as one moves up in levels and sees it eventually become available for something like 300 gems it starts to feel like a bargain. That's just a guess, though.

    Equipment suggestions

    I am stuck on levels 84, 85 and 88.

    I have 2 stars in level 85 and 1 star in 84 & 88.

Anybody have equipment suggestions for those levels and strategies to complete them?

    Thanks!

For level 85 I'd suggest going in with the Mighty Jade Blade and the Mighty Chemist Backpack. Aim for the west or south west area where the obelisk usually is, gathering red crystals along the way and shoring up with pillars. Then once you find the obelisk, leave a nice clear path, then look for the star chests with your remaining energy.

    (Just one of many approaches.)

For level 88 I'd use the Mighty Lava Hammer, the Mighty Flashlight Cap, and the Mighty Rock Backback. I'd head to the south, gathering all the crystals and avoiding the monsters. If I absolutely can't avoid a mummy I'll blow it up. After making sure I have all the blue crystals from the islands I'd get the first star chest at the south. Then I'd start heading up north to the obelisk, getting the second star chest and making sure the bomb wasps explode someplace other than on me.

I'd be interested to hear how others do it.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I beat those two levels with all three stars! Even without Might Lava Hammer as I don't have it yet. Good tips!

    Now for level 84.

    Thanks again!

Smritip, the Radar Backpack and the Native Backpack can forge into the Camping Backpack. (See Whimsicle's superb equipment list on page 28 of this thread.) Then once you get the Camping Backpack, just upgrade it with gold to get the mighty version.
