I have tried it with quite a few permutations and combinations but mainly stick with mighty azure backpack, mighty nuts n bolts and have tried with helmets like mighty crown and mighty flashlight. Though with the traps i guess a lot depends on how the wasps are placed no matter which combination you are using.
Smritip, I think part of the reason you're running out of tech or energy is because you're not going in with enough. For level 67, perhaps try it with these until you have scouted it out, and figured out what is needed and where most of the stuff is. Mighty Sprocket Pick -- Power 80, Energy +60%, Gold -50% Mighty Rock Backpack -- Tech 44, Tech Cost -50% Mighty Winged Helmet -- Energy 34, Crystal Foresight +5 Suggestion: Do a good run through, with a focus on resource crystals (so you know where to find them next time). With this gear you should be able to finish the level with 0 or 1 chests. Then, repeat it -- this time trading out your helmet for either the Mighty Civic Helmet or better yet the Mighty Samurai Helmet. Both of these give you chest foresight. Like last time, gather any easy/efficient to get resources, but don't bother going down branches that don't show a chest at the end. To find both chests you'll have to look around the edges a fair bit. (If you want a hint of where to find the second chest, just ask.) On this level I found that there were a lot of very easy-to-get crystals in the lower islands. After stocking up on those I cleared a quick path up to the obelisk, then headed back down looking around for the chests. If I was close to running out of energy I would just hit the obelisk, complete the level, and start over -- that way preserving my lives so I could come back and try again. I'm sure there are many other ways of doing the level. This is just one suggestion.
Level 68 is very equipment dependent. After doing an initial scout (perhaps with the equipment I mentioned above) then go back and find the chests using either the Mighty Civic Helmet or the Mighty Samurai Helmet. Then go back in again with the Mighty Flashlight Cap (extra visibility), and the Mighty Gem Backpack (extra shovel distance) to get them. I would rarely suggest using the Mighty Nuts n Bolts Blade due to the increased instability. In this level none of the wasps are spawners, so you can save tech simply by running from them and letting them explode on their own.
Lagging behind... Many thanks to everyone who has posted here with game information. I'm well behind most who are posting, closing in on level 50, everything is still merely sturdy rather than mighty. Any hints on finding the second star chest in level 45? Is it one of those things that requires shovel +1, or am I just really dense?
There is one through some difficult rocks toward the left in the first area you shovel into. Second can be reached by shovel at the far end of the long passage leading out to the central isle of gold.
Ctex, the Mighty gear becomes available after completing level 54. For level 45 one of the star chests is down a corridor close to the start, and the other one is in a chamber you'll have to use a regular shovel for, right before you head out onto the island. Feel free to ask if you would like more tips. Edit: Looks like Darian beat me to the post. Sorry for the repeat.
Thanks!!! Thanks so much for the advice Darian and Seeley! Much appreciated. Looking forward to level 54 and the onset of mightitude.
What is this drill you speak of and how do I get it? I am stuck on level 85, the lava keeps attacking me and I can't escape! Lol. Please help.
Check post 278, page 28 for a great overview of the Gear in Dwarven Den You need to drop/forge the Mighty Azure backpack. BTW....any item you can drop will block-and-stop the lava....pillar, bomb, trap...
Guild invite sent; we're doing well with the small guild so far. No problems hitting our goals for 7 gems a day.
Hmm game seems bugged, at least at lvl 86 ...Even after an ingame update. After finishing the quest and the final 'scene' it loops....no other way then 'quit/exit' the game and die . Edit: hehehe fast respons from backflip...catapulted to the next level.
Huh... thought I knew what you meant, the little two-square chamber with an open side facing the water, right before the bridge to the island... but apparently not. Do I have to break any of the hard rocks in that last long corridor to get within shovel range?
No, not that chamber. It's not visible unless you're close. After breaking through the blue crystals at the end of the long corridor, go west and pull out your shovel. You'll see the chamber to the west. Edit: The chamber doesn't show up with a normal shovel. It DOES show up with the torch, with the Mighty Samurai Helmet (Chest Foresight +10) or with the Mighty Flashlight Cap (Visibility Distance +2,). I will check to see if it shows up with the Mighty Aviator Cap (Visibility Distance +1). Edit 2: It does not show up with the Mighty Aviator Cap. As posted a day or two ago, I tend to go in first with a helmet that shows crystals, followed by repeat visit with a helmet that shows chests. I use the torch as necessary, That is mostly likely how I was able to access the chest.
Ctex, go to the end of the corridor, smash the blue crystals, then go to the west and light your torch. You will see the chamber with the chest, and be able to access it with the regular shovel.
6/2/2014 New Version 1.2.2.5 New Update Given some of the significant game changes within unannounced, non app store updates, I have recently been checking daily for these quiet updates. This morning Dwarven Den was still at 1.2.2.4. Later this afternoon (Pacific Time) it changed to 1.2.2.5. Any observations you can share about the changes in this new version would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time, Seeley. I'll give it a try. I'm way too OCD to leave stars on the table, even when I know they don't enhance my loot.
