Please PM me too! I am in realdwarfs too and its really annoying to not get gems specially like in the current quest which is way too easy to not get 3 stars!

Darian, if we want to have a 15 gems reward daily we need more members. If we want more members I think you should post the name of the new guild here. Otherwise it will take too much time to get the members.

It's a tough call. If we grow only via PMs, then we'll likely get quite active players who will hopefully also be considerate enough to leave the guild if they'll be away from the game for a while (or giving up forever).
If we post the name here, we'll certainly grow much more quickly but will also almost certainly run into the same situation as before, where the guild grows far beyond our needs and eventually drowns in inactive players.
Let's give it a day or two to see where things stand. Even a 5-10 gem daily consistently is better than the 1 gem solo players can get or the nothing we get from bloat.
I've PMed everyone who has asked, and we are up to 8 members in the guild so far.

I'm already in a guild but it is getting bigger by the day I play daily, have completed all levels with 3 stars apart from 84 so I'm looking to join a new one.

Please PM me too with the new guild name if that's the route we end up taking. I never skip the stars collecting and get 3 stars most of the time.

    Three more invites sent.

I've been playing slowly through the main content, while doing the guild quest each day; anyone have tips for level 66?

Last night it seemed to me that they slashed the amount of energy / tech you get when you buy with gems. I wasn't sure, because I almost never boost with gems (last night I just wanted to test something on an old level). Then this morning on Dwarven Den's Facebook page there were these comments posted by players within the past 24 hours:

    Gold Farming

Last night I went through the upper levels to see what was best for gold farming with the Diamond Pick. Level 87 is pretty good. It ranges between 50-51 gold bricks and 2310-2340 gold. Plus it also has three easy-to-get chests, the contents of which sell for between 425 - 700 gold each. Including equipment sales, that's about 3700 - 4300 gold in about 5 minutes.

There are many ways to play it, and trying different stuff out is part of the fun. My favorite is to go in with Mighty Diamond Pick (Gold x 3), Might Ram Helmet (Monster Damage -50%), and Mighty Camping Backpack (Bomb Distance +1) and just blow the place up.

Level 66 is tough... pretty much a brute force level with no secret trick to passing. My advice: Use the mummies to blow up the TNT to clear large areas of the hard rock. Use an Azure Backpack (upgrading to Mighty is absolutely worth the fee) for the drill ability and you'll have a lot more freedom of movement that is not dependent on the TNT. Try to explore the map to identify all the gold blocks before actually mining them so you can pool all your energy for a massive looting at the end -- this keeps you from running out of energy in between crystals as you explore. I always recommend a helmet that increases visibility because you waste a lot less energy/tech heading into dead spots. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips on the farm, SeeleyCat...we'll see how long it lasts. I'm disappointed in the direction Backflip seems to be headed with removing farms, reducing gold earned from selling items, and decimating the bonuses from the gem boosts... honestly, makes me less inclined to donate outright, and I pretty much never buy anything in free games that try to pressure you into doing so by making it near impossible to play otherwise. I thought the game was appropriately challenging with those original features in place...taking them away to try to coerce payments reduces my incentive to play (and pay), but I guess that's just the business of a "free" game.

Thanks for the tips. Ran lvl 53 enough times to save up the gold for my Mighty Azure and that got me through it. Ended up using the Nuts N Bolts, which might not have been the best choice (had a cave in on the first TnT) but did give plenty of tech for drilling.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. It seemed pretty well balanced to start with.

Please send me a PM with the guild name/invite as well.

I'm in the same boat like the rest of you - finished the game, got all the items, all the stars and everything but whichever guild I've joined so far has been completely useless.

And yes, it's a good idea to keep it private because we'll end up with tons of inactive members otherwise. We'll grow slower, but most of us won't have a problem getting three stars.

PM sent to Spaz and justtesting. We're looking good for a 6 gem reward today; still recruiting for more daily players.

@Smritip: I only got two stars in 67 and 68 as well; figured I would come back to them later with better equipment.

I agree with everything you said. I am trying to give Backflip the benefit of the doubt, both because it's a company I already knew and trusted, and also because the game is very new so I can understand that it might need some fine tuning. Still, wouldn't it have been better for them to start conservatively, then with the fine tuning ADD stuff for players rather than taking stuff away? Surely they must know that customers don't like it when stuff they had is taken away.

Earlier I said that I would donate. I have done so, and I will do so again. (Probably about $10 per month as long as I continue to enjoy the game as much as I currently am.) But I'm with Whimsicle -- when companies "try to pressure you into doing so by making it near impossible to play otherwise" I leave. I just delete the thing and never look back.
