It will minimize into the top bar, and you should see a DVDPlayer icon. 4) Insert DVD into the Mac’s drive. (Do not autorun the Mac's DVD Player.) 5) Run the iPad application. Minimum Requirements: 1) Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and above with DVD drive, Windows XP or better (Beta) 2) iPad, iPhone 3GS and above or iPod touch 3) Running on the same WiFi subnet (i.e. 1 Wifi router and not a complicated public Wifi system)
ok so the obvious question is.. if your already in front of a Mac's dvd drive.. why not just watch it on the mac?
Haha, same reason why people buy an iPad If you've an imac in the living room, you might just want to chill in bed with a movie on your iPad. It's all about the user experience and we make it as straightforward to use as possible. No more converting files and having to deal with waiting an hour before you can watch the dvds.

Stay tuned for PC version Currently DVDPlayer doesnt work with PC or iPod touches. You need to have a Mac + iPad. However, we are working on an update that will allow you to do so. Stay tuned : )
