Oooh, love DoD, an iPad version had totally slipped under my radar. Just now, I thought "Man, it'd be great on the iPad" so speculatively typed in DoD iPad, expecting no joy....but et voila!
Oh, for a second I thought you meant it was out already but, no, you just meant it is neat to see it is being worked on. This is encouraging to me as well but, until we actually see it in the appstore, there is no saying if this is no more than a neat "idea" never to be realized.
Oops, sorry about that, wasn't my intention to suggest it was actually out I was just genuinely pleased to see it's a possibility.
For anyone who is interested in trying the game out-- to celebrate the release of their new free DLC, Dungeons of Dredmor is currently on sale on Steam for 70% off, or the super low price of $1.50. With the expansion, it is only $2.25. This is probably cheaper than what the launch price will be (around $4-5). It is possible that I could be convinced to gift a few copies
Could you be convinced to gift the 90cents dlc instead? My steam wallet is unfortunately a couple cents short.
Oh Me gawd! I will so buy it again when its released on app store. I love the game, have it on steam.
Small update: Dredmor for iPad is currently delayed until further notice due to Gaslamp's Clockwork Empires project. http://community.gaslampgames.com/threads/dredmor-ipad-port-official-thread.2861/page-4#post-69277
Sucks. I been waiting for this forever. I have it on pc, but, I can't carry my pc around, or play in car. Hope it makes it out someday
Ah man, I hate it when the first I hear about an upcoming game is that it's been delayed! Never played DoD before, but I'm gonna have to check out the PC version now.
I think they were planning to do it but for the past several months they have been putting all of the efforts into Clockwork Empires, instead. It won't happen if they don't work on it.
Yeah after I saw your post yesterday I went to gaslamp games site and searched around for some information. Seems the last post by them was from January 4 saying that the only guy working on it was working on that clockwork game, and they would let us know when he returns to the dreadmore project. So it seems no progress is being made as of now. My advice is pick it up on computer if you can, and some day in the distant future you can relive all those fond memories again when it finally releases on iPad.
