Same issue here. I know the boulders can be pushed/attacked. But there is no way of getting in the right position to push/attack it across the shallow water. Even if I got a boulder across, I wouldn't be able to push it onto the switch as its impossible to navigate the character into the right position. If the only way to do this is to buy the hover power up thing then that's pretty lame.

I am not crazy about solutions where you have have a certain spell to progress either. I was fortunate enough to have the spell by going through some of the earlier forest levels a few times. Doing that is a great way to pick up more XP and gold too. You get skill ups, max capacity items too if you luck out. This game does have you repeat levels sometimes to get stronger which is not so bad bc the levels change up some when you replay them.

I do know what you mean though. The unlock able levels that are findable by maps should be and do demand a little more forethought tho. I am hoping only those are the ones that make you have to do more thinking outside the box (such as having a particular spell which you may or may not have.)

Remember you can move your screen (two fingers makes it easy) so that you can use your arrows...

I'm having the same issue as Solarclipse. How do I forget/remove a spell? I want to buy a heal spell, but I "don't have room"

I can sell items to make room for new items, but I don't see how to remove spells

UPDATE: duh, I DO need an inventory slot free...you buy the scroll to learn the spell and use it while in a dungeon. Hope that helps!

Derp, I used a scroll to learn a new spell while all my spell slots were full and it replaced my heal spell...the only spell I really wanted to keep.

Anyone know how to tell it which spell to replace?

I would also like to know how to replace spells; at the moment i'm avoiding picking up new ones because i'm afraid i'll loose the bomb spell that is great.

I'm currently at the 10th forest dungeon that is on more floors, got out after floor 3, wonder if it's infinite or there will be a nice boss at the end of it...

It's always the right-most spell that gets replaced, and whenever you use a spell, it gets brought to the left.

There are only a few times in the game where you have to use a certain spell, and you should be provided the spell in those instances.

Arrows don't move the boulders... Don't know what you mean by this.

I just tried that level again to make sure. You don't need to necessarily move the boulder as much as you need it to not be on the plate.

Pm me if you want explicit directions.

I don't quite get how to push those red boxes sometimes. It's fine pushing forward and back. It's like sometimes you can push them sideways and sometimes you can't. The controls for pushing a glass box forward is also tricky, takes several tries because I tend to end up smashing them somehow.

Also: what does the spell with the swirl symbol do?

Thanks to Solarclipse I got past the boulder puzzle. But in the very next level, ran into another that has stumped me! Any one have the solution to the puzzle with four red boxes in a cross pattern. Deep water in each corner of the room. I suck at this game :p

You should be able to move the blocks off into the deep water.

I really hope the dev adds a save system in the next update or the ability to pick up where you left off after closing the app. Still loving it though!

I thought this game was going to rip me a new one too but after putting more time in it it is actually fairly easy for me now. The examine magnifying glass helps to figure out what is going on in the rooms so you always know all the monster weaknesses and what all the objects are.

Some of the dungeons are pretty straight forward (no puzzles) and others have a little more going on. Sometimes all you need to do is figure out how to use the surrounding objects in the dungeon to progress. Other times though you might need a certain spell and this is the part of the game that can get dodgy. The reason why is because you don't always have the spell available to you and this is the roughest part of the game imho. Some levels might provide you with the spells you need but *not* all of them do to my knowledge.

One or all of these suggestions might help.

    1. Put the needed spell somewhere in the level that you need it in.

    2. Put the progression stopping spells in the Shop so we can buy them.

    3. Please let us lock the spells we want to keep so we don't junk the ones we really want to keep.

Otherwise my best advice is to keep your eye on the Float spell which has a pretty common drop rate and then one level in the game has teleport as set drop in one of the levels that you need it in. It would have been smart of me to remember where I got it so I could revisit that level later if I ever lost it off my spell list. Buying the spell capacity stat would also be nice so you could hold more spells before dropping them.

Other then the puzzles that you need to solve by finding a spell that we may or may not have the game is great.

Any room that you need a particular spell for will have the scroll for that spell in the room. As well as a regenerating magic token to make sure you can cast it. Otherwise, there will be a non-magic way to get through.

The pushable blocks should always be pushable in all directions unless there's something blocking you or the block. Deep water and holes will block you (unless you're floating) but not the block.

The ice blocks get broken after they're hit a few times (and faster if you hit them into wall when they're right next to it).

Question on the issue with needing certain spells to solve puzzles. That's had me on the fence with diving into this game. Otherwise it seems right up my alley. Is the spell issue almost a deal breaker with the game? Are you given some kind of clues that that is how the puzzle is solved and can you easily backtrack to acquire the spell?

The devs comment holds true to my experience. Spells and magic refuel are available whenever a spell is needed, otherwise the puzzle doesn't need magic.

Dive in, this is a well executed and fun game. There is a surprising amount of depth and attention to detail that will keep you discovering things as you go.
