The controls may take getting used to for some people as they are quite old-school but who played Legends of Grimrock, Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder should be right home! If not, there are some different control schemes, I prefer the joystick 2. I hope there are still people who remember these amazing games from 90s like I do. I agree with the joystick 2 preference. Paid for the premium, BTW. Quick question: I’m playing a ranger and have both sword and bow equipped. How do I switch between them? Dungeon Ward Member Dec 14, 2021 19 8 3 #5 Dungeon Ward, Jan 28, 2023 Wow Wow thank you for the support. It switches automatically. When enemies get close, it attacks with a sword, when they are further away it attacks with the bow. Or you can just unequip the sword to always use the bow. I recommend just using both as Ranger can stand toe to toe (especially when you get Werewolf transformation) as well as shoot from distance. squarezero likes this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #6 squarezero, Jan 28, 2023 That’s what I thought, but wanted to be sure. I only wish there was a portrait mode option. This might me more of a me problem, but almost all mobile games I spend serious time with, are portrait games. houseofg likes this. Dungeon Ward Member Dec 14, 2021 19 8 3 #9 Dungeon Ward, Jan 28, 2023 Thank you! A portrait mode would be nice for sure. The lack of space for buttons on the screen and remaking all gui 2x wouldn't But I saw one similar paid game which was done in portrait mode, it just lacked any depth in terms of the attacks, so all you did was tap one button to attack. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #10 squarezero, Jan 28, 2023 No disrespect to Rocco, but I wouldn’t make portrait mode a big priority . This is really a two finger game, and generally speaking, those tend to work bette in landscape. One thing I would look at is how the UI works with the iPhone notch and rounded edges— some buttons are getting cut off. Dungeon Ward Member Dec 14, 2021 19 8 3 #11 Dungeon Ward, Jan 29, 2023 I agree. The Notch being cut off is something I heard already couple of times times. I will look into that. I've tested the game just on my small Iphone SE which doesn't have it. Is there some settings like on some android phones with a notch where they can set globally that apps will have a black panel automatically (on IOS)? squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #12 squarezero, Jan 29, 2023 I don’t believe so. In fact, that’s exactly what Apple doesn’t want developers to do . I’m on 14 Pro, BTW. I can post a screenshot here if you need to see the issue. Dungeon Ward Member Dec 14, 2021 19 8 3 #13 Dungeon Ward, Jan 29, 2023 That's a strange decision from Apple when the notch isn't even something that's standardized and can differ from one device to another. But I guess they want to have the background stretch to the corners too but without the control buttons. I think a screenshot would definitely help, so if you can post it, I will be glad. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #14 squarezero, Jan 30, 2023 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kn38iz7kt0qhn8r/IMG_1280.jpg?dl=0 I circled the two buttons that are getting cut off. Dungeon Ward Member Dec 14, 2021 19 8 3 #17 Dungeon Ward, Jan 31, 2023 Perfect. I have already test flight set up where some testers are testing the fix right now. Should be released once Apple approves it. Dungeon Ward Member Dec 14, 2021 19 8 3 #18 Dungeon Ward, Feb 1, 2023 So the release with the fix is out in the wild but I was sent another issue with one of the iphones with a bigger cut where some item descriptions are partially hidden in the character menu. Will release it in a few days. Hopefully that's the end of notch issues. Having so many resolutions and devices to support is not an easy task, especially when the new iphones are not in the device simulator from Unity. squarezero likes this.
