Yeah, fun game. Very clever and creative power ups - Oracle stone, healing, +damage, etc.. And the, I guess you could call them, "level-up" skill choices are well done too. The seemingly random treasure found messages can be very entertaining. Have you guys found "easter eggs", like when you use the word "rat", rats move across the screen. This game has a lot of nice touches. Why play Scrabble when you can make words and kill beasties?!
One thing I'd like to suggest is to have a button that returns all tiles to the hold area. I don't have my iPhone with me right now, but were we allowed to rearrange tiles there, or just in the submit zone?
there is a jumble button beneath the submit button. tiles can only be jumbled in the holding area. the way i think returning tiles should work is if you hit the first letter of the word being spelled it should put all the letters back in the hold area. i've seen a lot of word games do it like that and it makes sense as opposed to clicking on each letter. whatever tile you click in the word submission area, that tile and all tiles to the right of it should go back to the holding area. that would speed up gameplay and let you quickly redo part or all of a word. BTW, interesting things i've found in the dungeons: $870 dollars a pair of wizened underwear an honest accountant you saved a rare species a jumping underwear a talking q-tip haha, ok i quit, there's a never-ending supply of crazy stuff in these dungeons
Definitely also need support for arranging your tiles as you want. Some people work best not with random jumbles but arranging their tiles manually, just like in Scrabble. At least add a feature to separate tiles by type. Key point is giving players the flexibility to maintain a certain order in their tiles as they play.
Well, a nice update would be a campaign mode where you don't lose your progress, just reset your score. From the screenshots it looks like a pretty large map. This is pretty significant for people that want to see through the whole game, especially when English is not your first language, so i'll be holding back on this one. Just a thought. Still keep the current mode for the online leaderboards
Sure, the more modes the best. I don´t speak english as first language so I play more trying words to see if exist but I like the concept in the game and is good to improve english too. There is 25 stages but are like 3 minutes each. If they allow us to continue the game will be short and adding more stages I don´t think is necessary because the concept of the game is similar to Wordfu, trying to make words.
Good idea about returning alltiles to the right of the one tapped. I also read in the instructions that a fast way of returning tiles is to just submit something wrong. I really like this game and seems I have convinced a few others to get it. I know the chances of this game getting substantial updates is slim(it's a port that is what it is), but thing I'd really like is just a huge database of creatures so that everytime you play you see something new. Normally I don't care for this, but this game works well like that. I like the random stuff you find! Is it operating on a randomized adjective noun database?
The crashing problem seems to have gone, I did reboot after first install but second reboot fixed it. Just curious as to the limit on pauses before you can't submit your highscore anymore. For example, say you only played one level at a time - would that be ok? Or is it specific to using the pause button, so if you press the home button on the map screen it's not counted? It's a clever feature, just a shame it kicks in when you're playing while watching TV and pausing all the time!
Just played my first game. Itouch had 45% power on start. Five minutes into game (second dungeon) it's down to 20%. WTF? Are you kidding me? How did this game get released like this? I've got 30 games on my itouch and not one of them has ever sucked a battery like this game does. Too bad, because it looks like it could be fun. Gee, I could play Zenonia for 3 hours straight or this game for 20 minutes? Oh, help me choose! 20 minutes of play time on a fully charged battery is not a good deal, even for 99 cents. Serves me right to buy games early before the bugs are worked out. Please tell me this is getting fixed!
Is it operating on a randomized adjective noun database? it has to be. i have had at least 10 different underwear finds with different descriptions. there's some kind of sentence structure where it just puts the grammer together randomly. and i agree about the battery usage but don't regret buying this. rpg word game?? i'm willing to overlook a lot just by the category it's in. but i would like to hear something from the dev about if they know about it and are planning on addressing it. BTW, i found the living room remote in dungeon 6 so stop looking for it. dungeon 8 cured all my bad habits, so check there if you have some..
Played through to the end. Really like this game -- it's a lot of fun, the concept is great, and the word database is pretty huge. Very nice graphics, too. I think I found an easter egg, too. If you let the title screen sit there, little spiders will come crawling out. You can squish them. If you squish enough of them a giant tarantula will come out. Can't squish it though.
ProTip: Battery meters are notoriously inaccurate. I just played for 45 minutes straight powered in a Mophie JuicePack Air. It hasn't even lost a dot yet.
Ya its a nice game to play. Its quite a thrilling game. Also bike and die 2 are two others. Really nice ones...
