So I made it past the first difficulty bump I mentioned earlier, and things look a lot better now. My first 3 chars are level 4 now, and I got the 4th. Also, I got some more equipment upgrades - from loot, crafting, and the store. The next Chapter with the Goblins started a lot smoother than my trips through the last dungeon or two of Chapter 1. Some remarks: - Awh, I expected the Ninja Goblin to join, that one just looks to funny and interesting to be passed up. - Shop: Can you make it so that the Shop always sells unlimited Health,Mana,Stamina potions? I have more than enough money to buy a year's worth. But I always get only one, sometimes none. And doing the "go dungeon, return, check shop" to stock back up on potions is annoying. - Potion materials: In way too short supply, especially for Health potions. Combined with the Shop issue above, it's a major flaw in the game design. For the record: I have other materials in 10+ quantities, so it's no a general issue. - Same goes for some other materials that are very hard to come by, like the meat you need to make the "forget almost everything" potion (which I assume allows you to respec). I liked the idea to use a potion for that at first. Now, I find it annoying. Main reason is that I made a mistake with my 4th char and cannot fix it right away. - Leveling still feels too slow. I don't know what the max level is, or what pacing you intended. But I'd expect that I can easily complete Chapter 1 without any grinding - which definitely wasn't the case here. Level 4 by end of Chapter 1, provided you played most Heroic dungeons once and completed the 5 tower levels sounds reasonable to me. I had to replay maybe 10 dungeons to get there, a tad too much. - Equipment progression still looks ok so far, no complaints. - I miss a "wait" command. Sometimes I just want one char to wait for another to attack first. Currently not possible. A "wait till end of turn" action would help a lot here.
Hi Nullzone, We have deliberately limited health potions in the game. Otherwise it would be just too easy if you can walk around with unlimited potion. It's actually to make the game balanced. Same goes for other potions. During combat, you can put a character in 'defense stance' by touching the shield button in the lower left corner of the screen. It won't attack and will get a defense buff if he's attacked.
What about the experience part? It seems that could use a little boost no? Thanks for being here btw.
Hi Mikahslash, I understand what you tried to do. What I'm trying to tell you is that it didn't really work I need under 2 minutes to go through the first dungeon. After that, the Store resets, and I can buy another potion if I want to. The last 5 tries it didn't offer any (but got some good equipment upgrades), so I just need to run again until I either - have enough materials to craft another potion - the Store finally offers one for sale That's not a hard limit as in e.g. "the Store only has 100 potions. Once you bought them all, that's it." It's a soft limit. A hard limit would work, but brings its own problems regarding game design and difficulty. The soft limit technically works somewhat in that limits the amount of potions you can *easily* get, but at least for me is just annoying. Also, quite a few of the materials are annoyingly rare as I mentioned before. Best example I have right now are those rocks you need for almost every weapon crafting. And I almost never use defense stance, too busy beating the crap out of Skeletons and Goblins If you meant it as a response to "I want a wait command": that's not the same. Defend ends your turn. Wait would postpone your action so you act last in a turn.
Found another major bug in the latest patch: character's ability to attack just disappeared and no other actions would show up. I couldn't select any actions, potions, switch actions. All I could do was retire from the dungeon. :-/
Any idea if the free skins promo is still going on? when I try and get the skins in the app it brings up the screen to pay for them.
Yeah but if you look closely, the price is set to $0.00. Which means free, right? The promotion will run a few more days than what was originally planned.
I ended up getting this and was actually wondering where the IAPs to get the skins even are. Do you have to wait for the store to unlock? And if so, how long does it take to unlock it?
Tap a character portrait to display the character sheet. Tap the character in the upper-left corner of the sheet. Tap 'Unlock all skins'. Enjoy.
So promo still go or no? I'm trying to decide whether to buy this now or later, and that'll clinch it.
Ok, for some reasons, the price for the skin pack hasn't been extended. I've set it up to free again just now, so try again in a bit.
