Right. No rewards. And I am playing in English. That is what is weird.

  2. We have a visual bug on the end of dungeon. You receive gold & items but the chest animation has a problem on few devices.

We already push an update on AppStore. We are waiting validation (I hope will be live monday). Sorry for the trouble.

The game keeps freezing in Herotic mode in tower 4 or 5.. at the left top in a room.. I can't move etc.
all I can do is escape the dungeon

Seems like it's happening a lot when I step on the Green poison arrows.
Also got a few times, just a black screen..

idk how someone beat the campaign in 10-15 hours..
played now 3 days in a row. almost spent 20-25 hours in it, and only level 4 with 3 people, and only like 6 towers done. Made the best gear I can for now.. so idk how it's possible..

  4. If you check achievements on Steam, the best score for "campaign finished" is 13 hours and 49 minutes.

The average is around 21 hours (depending if you play multiplayer or not, if you do all manor floors and if you played in heroic).

If you take your time, the full campaign is around 20 & 25 hours.

    Not really taking my time..
Keep getting killed, and leveling up takes forever..

Edit. Tower 5 in Herotic mode keeps freezing up when you get on Traps or statues.

That's odd, the game isn't hard in my opinion.
Which party do you use? Maybe I can give you some hints for optimising. But even with less-than-best party and equipment it should be possible to not get killed all the time.

And yes, leveling is a bit on the slow side; but after the initial slow start I think it's going at a good pace. Like someone else wrote, it's not a JRPG where level up to 100 or 1000.
And if I recall correctly, the next update will increase XP gains from monster kills.

    Early game - some tips

@pka: Ah ok, so you are still at the beginning. Good news: That's the hardest part ;) Things get a lot easier once you get the next char, and then again when you have 5.

Try to rush through the dungeons until you get to - and can beat - the Vampire's Dungeon. You get Melissa the Vampire there as 4th char.
Then keep rushing on till you get number 5, think that was the Goblin Shamaness.
Ignore Heroic mode and floors 2+ of the towers, unless you need to grind a bit because you cannot beat a stage on normal.

How to get there, some practical tips:
    - See Pod's Sleep spell? It'll be your best friend for a long time.
    - Gear Pod for survivability and lots of Stamina, so he can cast Sleep more often. Damage for him is secondary early on.
    - Elian and Thorgrim you best gear for damage output: better weapons, stuff that gives +attack and +speed. Nothing fancy like extra special attack effects or more critchance, that's a waste early on.
    - Use Thorgrim's Treasure Finder skill to (sometimes) reveal the treasure right away, makes things much easier when you know where to go.
    - And give him that Dwarven Constitution skill, so he can chug down those beers ;)
    - Give Elian a melee weapon and gear him for that. I respecced him to Archer only *much* later.
    - At first, stop increasing skills when the new skill level comes with an increase in the skill's Mana cost. Early on, you can't afford a skill suddenly costing 2 or 3 instead of 1 Mana.
    - Don't force completing the challenges early on. If it happens naturally, fine. Just don't push your luck. Better to drink a few potions, leave a monster group standing, or not explore the whole floor, than to die, right?
    - Avoid opening features like altars and chests before you found and cleared the way to the treasure. Being poisoned or weaker does not help. Wait till you have a clear path, then go back and open stuff to your heart's content.

    - Team setup: Put Pod in the topleft corner backrow, Thorgrim in front of him, Elian below Thorgrim in the frontrow middle. Looks like this:
    Pod Thorgrim
    --- Elian
    --- ---

The reason is simple: Most melee attackers cannot attack the backrow, so Pod survives longer; and the other two can focus on the tanking. Also, he's protected best like this, as noone can attack him diagonally either: center frontrow blocks diagonal attacks - applies to monsters too.

If you need more info, just holler, and I see what else I can remember from the early stages.

Funny... after I did the 1 level, i got the Vampire level and finished it..
it goes a lot easier now :) Thanks

    2nd.

Got the update, but the game is still freezing in Dungeon 5 (the most) and some other dungeons.

when getting on a Poison Spear or any other item .. results in unable to move at all.. arrows are blinking but cannot move. This happens randomly, but dungeon 5 it happens all the time.

Will the be a fix for that (using Iphone 7 plus)

Interesting approach, I guess the beauty of this game is the different ways you can play it. I believe the heroic dungeons and the towers are essential to make the early game easier, since heroic gives you more XP and loot that isn't otherwise accessible (uncraftable), and the towers give you lots of materials, which will allow you to craft a lot more items and thus gear your chars the way you want to. Likewise, buying every material from the store every time you finish a dungeon will guarantee you'll have what you need without grinding for it.

For the team setup, I'd say keep Thorgrim in the frontrow middle, because that way he'll be able to attack the bottom row left and right of the enemy, even if they have a full front line. Since Elian has a bow and can attack whereever he pleases, he gains nothing by being in the middle.

Also, be sure to have at least two high speed chars(give them +speed gear), in order to prevent damage from fast, ranged enemies. Usually, those would be the vampire and Elian, which when geared right can one shot those pesky archers.

Agree that Heroic dungeons and towers make a good difference in the early-to-mid game.
I just completed the game, and didn't to any Heroics or Towers after the "An unexpected rescue" stage.
Also, I have a metric f-ton of crafting materials left that I never used, plus I am sitting on a small mountain of unused items (yep, I hoarded quite a bit).

The idea with Thorgrim in the front middle is good. I kept him top-left mostly out of laziness, and because I always had another good attacker (e.g. Elian with a melee weapon - I only switched him to Archer after I got Odessa and decided she makes for a good front spot) in that spot.

More Speed is good indeed ;) Whenever I had the choice between, say, one item that gives one more armor but less Speed than something else, I always selected the one with the higher Speed stat.
My lowest Speed is 19 on Thorgrim and Anemhutep, Elian has the highest with 26, Franck and Elvire both have 23. Combined with Franck's Slow, my whole party can move once before the enemies strike.
When I still had the Vampire Melinda in the party, she was the fastest. I actually had to fiddle around with her and Elian's equipment quite a bit, so she went after Elian and got the kill on whatever he softened up, to make use of her Lifesteal to keep her Health up.
I ended the game with this party:
Thorgrim level 10 (melee), Elian 10 (ranged), Franck 10 (melee in monster-form), Elvire 9 (melee & ranged), Anemhutep 9 (ranged).

The char I found most useless was Rose: I tried her once and immediately sent her to warm the bench for the rest of the game.
While Melinda went out early, you can turn her into a veritable critmonster. Mine's only level 7, so her equipment could be stronger and more optimised for the role. But she already has 15 Attack Strength, and a whopping 61% Critchance - and 25 Speed.

I cannot remember in which order I replaced people exactly.
Melinda went out first, as she wasn't tanky enough to survive at some point - replaced with Odessa.
Pod had to go when Sleep became mostly useless. I replaced him with Franck, you REALLY want his Slow pre-battle skill.
Trashkarog I replaced with Anemhutep when I got him.
And finally, Odessa had to warm the bench to make room for Elvire.

No time to writeup equipment now, will see if I get around to that next week or so.

Oh, almost forgot: I didn't bother at all with creating my own dungeon, going for other players' places, or the Endless Tower.

Oh yes, definitely, as you get more to the mid-late game, you don't need to do any tower or heroic modes, and at that stage you just want to finish the game as you have everything you may need.

I agree, Rose was such a letdown, couldn't make her work even if I wanted too. Interesting that you dropped Pod, I was actually going to ask if anyone else thought Pod was too OP? His song removes one negative effect from each hero, and heals for 14%, while giving an armor buff, and he's the only hero with a party mana regeneration ability. I just couldn't take him off, but I do try to play without potions as they kinda trivialize the game. I do agree that sleep gets useless when compared to Franck's slow, which is the best ability in the game, imo.

My team, by now, and I haven't quite finished the game yet (
    already faced the dungeon god
) consists of Pod and the AOE lady at the back, and Odessa, Melinda, and Franck at the front. Melinda is just my MVP, she goes first as she usually one shots most enemies with her high critical rate, and gives my front line some much needed healing. With Pod's armor buff, Franck's magical resistance buff, and Odessa's parry buff, I'm nigh untouchable. Really fun :D

Making your own dungeon is really fun, I like to try and confuse people by having a large dungeon with a lot of possible directions (I really hate the long corridor ones), and putting the treasure in the least guarded place. My hope is that people use melinda's and trashkarog's abilities to try and guess the direction of the treasure, since logic dictates the treasure must be where all the traps and monsters are. But nope, the treasure is on a completely clean of threats path :)

Pod is the best char until you encounter mostly monsters that are immune to Sleep.
I almost never used his Healing abilty, and the "Restore Mana" song I never needed as I didn't rely on Mana skills that much.

I only used potions when I absolutely had to, and managed most stages without doing any healing.
But I do see that Pod is a huge help with his healing in stages where you can't use potions (or only 3) to unlock Heroic - and in Heroic itself, of course.

Elvire also has a combat healing ability, and a map skill that removes one negative effect from everyone.

If you want to go all-out on healing, add Trashkarog as well. Anemhutep can heal himself, and Melinda has Lifesteal and party regen, so you can play with four healing chars if you want to ;) Can't remember about Rose, but doesn't she heal as well?
But personally, I preferred more attack power over anything else. Taking down enemies fast helps a lot - a good offense often is the best defense.

Also, Thorgrim's skill is a must for me, just too useful. Same goes for one char each to disable mundane (Elian, Odessa) and magical (Anemhutep, and who was the other one?) traps. Elian's Scout isn't that bad either, but I didn't use it as often as Thorgrim's Reveal Treasure.
Melinda's Stalk is nice if you need more damage (which you shouldn't ;)).

@warriv: If you already faced you-know-who once, you are almost done.

Deleted the game after being hit with its repetitiveness, having regretted that decision I was hopping for but supprised to see iCloud support.

The repetitiveness can become a bore, the developers for next game should consider more work in gameplay than a broken online system because one your party is ready for online your. Burnout form the single player game, I deleted it original about halfway through and many reviewers have had the same opinions.

I see this game has a new update. Has the grindy-ness been addressed or is it basically the same game TA reviewed at release?

I can't speak for the changes—apparently the experience rate has been improved.

If you are finding it a bit grindy though, try this:

As soon as you can go to the pirate ship and gamble, do it.
    •you can win +gold and +exp equipment
•if you get the battle, its only 3 matches and you can go all out with your skills—stalk, sleep, before battle, during battle. Wear as much +gold and +exp equipment as you can manage.
•With a few pieces of +gold equipment, you can get thousands of gold coins for a battle.
•With all this money, gamble in the shop. gamble the lowest value for resources, the highest for items.

After you have the best equipment you can get for your area, you should find the dungeons pretty straightforward. The challenges keep it interesting.

I do think the gold+ equipment calculations in game might be a little off. I've gotten like 13,000 from a fight before.
I wish there was some more equipment to enchant then the weapons and shields, but oh well. This is a great rookie effort from the dev and I'm looking forward to what else they can do in the future.

I think this game is worth buying. Its challenging at first with the smaller party, but once you figure some things out it gets pretty straight forward. If you like strategy RPG and some humor, this is a good one to get.
