I would like to take a chance on this,I Don't mind grinding a bit but the touch arcade review and many comments are you have to play the same level 15 times before you can move on.maybe the developer could fix the difficulty so you don't have to grind so much, most people would rather have a shorter play time that moves along than 15 hours of grinding
@scifistephen : I am what seems to be pretty far into the game already (over 2/3 of worldmap filled and done). And no, you do not have to replay any level 15 times to get anywhere. If you play even halfway smart, you should get through with a minimal amount of grind. The only 2 grindstones I encountered were a) early on, before I got 5 characters to fill the whole party. I think it was the fight with the Vampire where the difficulty ramped up quite a bit, and I had to go back and replay some earlier stages (mostly getting Heroic completed) . b) at the end of the Desert area. Stuff again jumped up in difficulty, but I can still manage. Might have to put a bit of grind in, but still not a necessity. The only gripe in this area I have is that *in my opinion* XP could be a bit more generous. Leveling up from 7 to 8 does take quite a bit. On the other hand, levels really mean something here, and I wouldn't be surprised if 10 is maxlevel. None of the "max level 9999" shenanigans in this game, which is good in my book. The difficulty overall is on the easy side for me. The occasional spike is something completely different from a game that's hard/difficult across the board.
And...... dev pulls a No Man's Sky after the initial few weeks of forum interaction. Well, all this game needs is rebalancing of XP gains. It's a premium game. You have nothing to lose by fixing that. Hope you can make that happen
Show evidence, otherwise you are just talking bollocks. Go one page back, he posted yesterday. Specifically By no means is he obligated to be here 24/7. Not to mention that there's such things as timezones, other obligations, work, etc. As for: Two people replied to that already. Throwing blanket statements out there doesn't help anyone to change anything. If you think the XP system needs some tweaks, at the absolute minimum provide *some* details on what you think is wrong and can be improved.
I'm really getting the hang of this. At first the first I thought the reward drops for crafting items like iron & water and and the healing potions in the store were too few in between but it has started to pick up and with the gambling system I was able to pick up a few potions here and there. Also the grind isn't too bad It's a dungeon crawler/rpg hybrid Whats a game like this without a lil grinding involved. I can use a little more water drops or restocking in the store though. This game is starting to really grow on me. I really like it. I get what people are saying about the xp crawl It has really dropped on me too I think but I'm going to continue playing to see if it picks up
Nope, that didn't work for me as well. I eventually caved and started over, and I don't think the XP complaints are valid, I feel the progression is just fine. You just have to be a bit patient, and do the heroic levels as you go, they give you better loot and more xp. You should also buy every material from the shop each time you complete a dungeon, that will reduce the grinding for materials greatly.
I was wondering why I can't go back into certain dungeons on heroic mode after I completed them. It's locked on heroic mode. I was able to go back into other dungeons on heroic mode but not all of them. Can anyone please help? Thanx
You need to complete all 3 challenges in a dungeon to unlock its Heroic mode. I still didn't check if you need to get all 3 in one run, or if you can do them separately.
I figured as much. I'm pretty sure I did but, I'm going to double check to make sure, though. Thank you
That was it. I must've of failed a few challenges here & there. Need to focus a lil better . Lol . Thanx again
Have you completed the objectives? Each mission has three objectives that have to be met in the same run in order to unlock heroic. Edit: ups, too late, please ignore
No problem! Some tips for whoever may find it useful: You can go to any revealed tile on the dungeon's board by tapping on it, unless you haven't discovered the path to it yet. You can double tap to buy/sell or equip/unequip items. Buy materials and potions from the shop every time it replenishes, gold is mostly useless. You can gamble as well for more loot. Do heroic, better loot and more XP wait for you. Use your buffs. Pay attention to the turn order and prioritize your targets. Try to have a couple chars faster than the ranged enemies from your area in order to take them out first, so you can minimize the damage to your bacline. If you're just starting, pay attention to your bard's talent tree. One skill in particular can make the early game much easier, by removing one negative status effect from each member of the party with his song. Make it a priority if you can. That's it from the top of my head! There's a lot more though, anyone care to chime in?
Hello, The version 1.2.10 should fixed the problem on iPad 2 / iPhone 4S & iPad mini. We have a visual bug (sometimes, the chest won't open at the end of dungeon, but you receive your gold & drop, and you can continue your progress). For the cloud, we are checking why some people with iCloud enabled can't save and get it on another device. We are working to upgrade the exp value per monster. Best regards
I just got the vampire lady, and now when I clear a dungeon, I get an empty chest at the end, with a message in French "trop de gobelins tue les gobelins". This happens when doing heroic dungeons as well as regular ones
And you get none of the chest rewards, right, just to confirm? It's not the "chest won't open but you get the rewards" issue goblinz mentions three posts up? Bit silly idea maybe, but try switching to English and see if it happens then too, just to rule out sabotage by the baguettes
