qft.....look @ my sig. kinda tired of developers holding back, scaling down, delaying, or removing whole groups of content from games for these non-upgraders. its electronics. they knew at some point their device was going to become outdated, so why the fuss when iOS's and games arent supported? ...and no i dont want your sob story on cost or rhetoric on why "'not everybody can upgrade". dont want to hear your "but i just bought my 2g touch in january" nonsense either....save it for someone who cares. /harsh /imadick
Good riddance. Now you're free to go hassle people saying that the DS should be able to play 3DS games. Seriously the new phone has a new processor, new screen, more memory, etc. In terms of gaming consoles, I think those improvements would be enough for some people to consider it a new gaming console altogether.
Awesome! Is it all bug fixes or did he sneak any additional goodies (new special monsters perhaps?) into the mix? Can't wait to get home and DL it!
The description just lists a few minor changes and mostly fixes, and I haven't noticed anything else yet, except that they added the openfeint logo to the app icon which I find to be an ugly and pointless change, but whatever, it doesn't affect gameplay, just makes my home screen uglier and reminds me that this game still supports ancient technology (OF) better than the official social gaming network of iOS (GC). Edit: okay weird, the OF logo on the icon disappeared when I rebooted my iPod. So Nevermind I guess :/
Okay, I have a really major issue.... I just can't level up. idk whats wrong with the game, but it just aint happening. ive been playing as a priest on harder like a lot. I've unlocked all but 2 of the classes using the priest, and idk what I'm doing wrong I noticed, at a point, that every time i killed a special monster, i got "Bloodlust" 1%, the 2, then 3 etc... 1% for each special monster kill... so i thought maybe when that reached 100, Id finally level up to lvl 2, but nope... nothing... theres no way that killing over a hundred special monsters on harder cant earn u AT LEAST one level... I love this game, but this is just getting soooo frustruating!
fairly certain its random. ive havent had back to back yet, but have had several levels ups in short time, and have had no levels ups in several LONG games...hard to say.
Seems like if you get several level ups in a short time and then long games without any, then it's not flat random, there is something else going on.
The way the level trophys appear really feels random to me but it would be interesting if the developer would shed some light on it. Also, is it the case that you can't level any classes until you have them all unlocked? I know, at least in my case, I didn't get level 2 on a single class until I had unlocked all the classes, then the level trophys started coming pretty regularly.
Yeah, each trophy has a 50/50 chance of either leveling up your current class or unlocking another one. If you're finding enough trophies to unlock most of the classes you're doing everything right. Some people will unlock things faster while others will level up faster, just the nature of random chance, but once you've unlocked all classes every trophy will definitely be used to level up your current class. Sure it is, sometimes if you flip 10 coins they'll all come up heads and sometimes they'll all come up tails, that's how randomness works. If you got 5 heads and 5 tails every single time, now that would be suspiciously unrandom By the way, Dungeon Raid Lite is now available if anyone wants to give it a try for free - it's ad-supported and doesn't have classes or achievements but otherwise plays like the full game
If half the time you're getting 5 heads out of 10, and half the time you're getting 0 heads out of 10, there's something wrong with the random numbers.
lol that's one of my favourite ones I think this is a case of selection bias, though. While I certainly sympathise with the bad luck of not getting a single level up out of 7 trophies, a few dozen thousand players have updated to 1.3 and I haven't heard of any other such cases. On a somewhat related note, anyone get the Just Messing With You achievement?
The 'new game' screen 'EDIT' Peeps, Anyone (hint --> LordGek?) interested in explaining to me what the UI is on the new game screen? Am I messing up that all the perks/flaws are locked? Is there some easy way to open those up? Or is it that I have to unlock them ... slowly? Is this all Trophy-driven? Last question - does picking Trophies use a turn? Doesn't seem like it. rekzkarz.com
Sure thing. Okay, this is the class selection screen. Each class gets its own customization options; you basically have a saved configuration per class. You can't configure anything at level 1, though. When you click "edit," you get... ...a page that talks about the class and your stats with it. The bottom is another redundant class switcher, just like the one on the previous page. The important bit here is the top, which is a set of tabs (though that's hard to see unless you're looking for it). The row of tiny icons tells you what unlocks at each level of the class. The second tab shows info about your race. Every race has a bonus and a mortal enemy. Until you level up to 5 in a couple different classes, you can't do any customization here. The third tab talks about perks and flaws. The first one is fixed for the class. The other three slots start opening up at level 3, and let you add additional perks and flaws chosen from other classes. The final tab deals with your skills. The big grid lists all the skills that might be offered to you as you level up your character within a raid. Each offering is still a random two skills, but they're selected from this pool. The top left skill is particular to this class. The little icons at the bottom are skills that you won't ever see in a raid. Starting at level 2, though, you can replace skills in the pool with ones from the bottom list by dragging the new skill over the old one. Again, it's not a guarantee, but it gives you a chance to get that skill on each character level up. Hope this helps!
level difficulty? Hi not sure if this question has already been answered but does the game difficulty affect the rate at which you get trophies to unlock/level up? in other words, would i have the same chance to play at Normal as Hard or Harder to get a trophy while killing a special monster? Also, does each special monster have the same chance of dropping trophies, or as you are further in the game they have hire chance? are the chances accumulative? Lastly, what does "unlock the class skill" mean as the description of level 10 of every class says? I ask this because it seems to me that the class skills are already unlocked from level one - I had them pop up during my game plays (for example, Last Stand for my level 1 paladin). is this suppose to be a bug? thanks and keep up the great job
Beat the game? Playing on hard, I'm now on a score of over 37,000 and seem invincible. Programming flaw? Skills: magic sword, enchant, dazzle, and disarm all have their 10th upgrade. Hit points at 815. Base damage at 148. Defense at 79.
Eventually you won't be able to keep ahead of the enemies. There are some high scores out there from earlier versions, but my best game on Hard with essentially the current difficulty is 82916 points and 1178 turns, so I know that's possible.
