The Masochism skill! love it! 2 swords is all you need to turn a room full of gold into a slaughterhouse! every 6 turns at skill lvl 10... Fireflame, my compliments on making a great game even better!
I'm having amusingly bad luck...blazing my way through easy with maxed big game hunter as one of my skills. I'm level 61, probably killed 30+ specials (who counts?), nothing so far. I'm pressing big game hunter even if I already have a boss...playing on easy after all
sorry if this has already been answered but how do you do uppercuts?I ask because my mortal enemy can only be damaged that way and he keeps laying waste to me.
Going for Changling + Big Game Hunter (and no other skills) seems to be the fastest way to unlock stuff. Playing on Normal as a Mage with Big Game Hunter, I managed to get pretty far with only the one skill. I could have gone farther, but I messed up with missing a Mimic and it dropped my health pretty far. Then the rest of the stuff on screen killed me off since there weren't enough potions on screen to fix me up. I probably killed over 200 special monsters in this run alone though. I sometimes had as many as 10 special monsters within a span of 5 or 6 turns. Managed to unlock a new class and got 2 or 3 level ups. This screenshot was taken a few turns before I died.
Last Night i used Paladin Elf (Poisoned enemies do half damage)with Perk:Mortal enemy only appears half the time -Double effect from regenaration upgrade -5% Swords are arrows Flaw:Special monsters appear 1 turn earlier - -10 Max Health -1 Armor Special Skill: Last Stand: Refills health completely if you are killed this turn Then used Big game hunter+Skill Elixir+ Boost Damage or Shatter What can i say just wow Paladins are OP lol i think they have one of the best Skill at the moment i used this guy to farm for Trophies since you can always just kill all the special monster with ease and have Last Stand as your back up skill if something screw up (Just take a few weapon upgrades early).. Just take the potions as XP then level up all your skill to have lesser cooldown since in this run you are going for unlocks not high score =D Then just take the coins- shield and other stuffs off the board then after around 4-5 turns just pop up Big Game Hunter+ Boost damage even if there are 2-4 Special Monster in the board they are toast then rinse and repeat... If something goes wrong you have Last Stand as your back up saved me a lot of times last night or just poison the hell out of the high end level monster if you cant 1 shot em so that they`ll just do 1/2 of their normal damage.. I like this set up since with its natural perk + abililty and added perk even in higher levels will have an easy time dealing with high level monsters while still farming for trophies =D With this set up i leveled up my Paladin Elf to level 8 and unlocked all the other classes =D
omg! Trying to kill myself now...unfortunately, my "racial enemy" is helping me stay alive by teleporting me to a room with ... no bosses.
I dont find it annoying at all. The potion and the coin jump right out at me, and the mimic is rare enough that I'm not sure I have even had a sword.
You did really well...I was finally able to get big game hunter, but my run wasnt nearly so good. Its definitely a little tricky balancing farming bosses and taking care of basics as well. Still, I did get two unlocks and agree that if you get a little lucky with big game hunter, this is a great way to farm. Still, there are a lot of skills and it can be painful waiting for it. Just playing on normal with the mage, getting big game hunter when it comes up and getting other skills as normal may be good too...when big game hunter is maxed and you have quick, it recharges pretty quick.
@aLpHa-Ev7 You can use the paladin while waiting for mage (Paladins skill is great for survival) i suggest get the Potion to XP too since this will enable lots of level up in turn this will give you lots of chance to get the Skill that you need and will enable to level it up faster..
Played this a bunch when it first came out, so the update is very nice. Is there a timeframe for the universal update?
Yeah, I like this solution, any objections to me changing the mimic to work this way for the next update? Yeah, the initially unlocked perk & flaw are both extremely weak, they only apply to the first 3 turns of the game. Yeah, the migraine-inducing flashing of the attack fade was reported by someone else with a similar condition so there's now an option to disable it in the in-game menu: tap the "menu" button, then uncheck "dimming". In general, if anything about the game is causing discomfort please let me know. A lot of people are sensitive to things like abrupt flashes, indistinct icons, overreliance on slight colour differences, etc, so I'd like to keep the game easy to play for everyone but usually don't notice these kinds of problems myself. Rage is awesome, I do think would be quite OP as a perk but would work great as a racial bonus, forcing you to stay on the offense for as long as possible to keep the accumulated bonus damage Love these, twins especially! Funnily enough I'd also had an idea for twins except in my version the second one would get triple attack when the first one died, which could be very painful unless you made the effort to get both at the same time Not exactly, hopeful plan is to get all new art in a month or so and then universal soon after
Great! Saw the setting later while wanting to turn of the sounds for a bit, girlfriend laying next to me wanting to sleep. I normally am not that sensitive to effects and such, but for some reason this one hits a nerve. Anyway, thanks again. Going to play a bit more today... maybe just a bit....
Or you can let everything stay as it is and just add an additional visual cue to make us more aware of its presence like for example, there would be sparkle-like effect on the mimic tile, like the one from bejeweled?
Well, i don't think everyone checks each and every tile for consistency. So Everyone is bound to be hit atleast once with the current solution before they realize it's presence. But a little extra subtle hint would allow you to keep the current mechanics i.e. Dmg half health if i remember, but still give the player a chance to kill it before it damages you, if they notice it . And isn't the point of having a different tile be to stand out from the others? Right now its really hard to notice the mimic because the changes are very minor. Or Else just make a perfect replica which can only be detected when you notice anomalies. If you don't understand a word of what i am trying to say, i won't blame you
