I take it the Rogue's 10% bonus gold is useless in the endgame when you already have 100% bonus gold chance? Still a very good perk...it takes a longggg while to get bonus chance above 90%. Definitely thinking about combining it with collect all coins and/or treasure chamber.
I still can't see how the new feature works that shows you the effects of collecting a line of shields (for example) before listing my finger, it just isn't showing anything new since the update. Any idea's?
Hi, new to the forum....been playing this game for some time now! I love the Sauren's bonus chance for scrolls in combination with the gold bonus...got a personal high score today (91k on normal) using Boost Gold, Treasure Chamber, Heal and Treasure....at a certain point in the game, using those 4 skills got me about 3-4 upgrades in one turn. But the kicker were the added scrolls of Treasure I often got...sometimes up to 3 times, keeping the gold rolling in...12 upgrades in a single turn were not that uncommon...
When you're collecting a line of shields, a shaded blue line shows up, filling the bar that tracks your progress and showing the effect collecting that line will have...
As far as I can tell, they don't....your primary perk/flaw always remain the same, but the next slots can be filled with any combination of perks and flaws you've unlocked... At least, the second slot can, and I assume the next slots will be similar, though I haven't unlocked those yet...
Yes I think this would be a good solution for the Mimic, please don't get rid of it in it's entirety. There are also some great monster and ability ideas being floated in the last few posts, keep them coming! One feature that has been mentioned before is an amnesia or forget feature where you have the ability to remove a spell from one of your slots to make room for a new one. Of course this would have to be balanced in a way to prevent abuse and encourage players to still make tough decisions on what spells they chose. Ideas could be either 1. make it a one-use only option 2. have it where you would need to wait for a long number of turns (50-70 perhaps) before you can fill that slot 3. All other spells are frozen until a new spell is found. Also any new spell learned would start at level 1, even if everything else is at 10. New monster idea to use with this feature: Brain Drain! If the timer goes to zero, the monster disappears and takes a random spell you have in your slot! Any penalties what would occur if you erased the spell manually would be nullified since it's not of your own free will. This could be an interesting strategy if you have one or two spells you wouldn't mind being erased, just take a chance that Brain Drain would take it. But what if he takes your lvl 10 Dazzle or Teleport instead.
No, I am currently playing a game as an Elf Ranger who is level 3 so I was able to add a 2nd set of perks/flaws. I chose the perk from the rogue +10% gold chance, and the flaw from the Adventurer that I could not damage enemies the first 3 turns.
just played Adventurer on Normal and got 20k. Unlock Paladin and Raider. How come my class unlocks are so different from the rest? I dont get any Mage/Assassin/Elf.
It's completely random which class you unlock. I personally am just playing adventurer until i unlock all of them and then I'll take a stab at the classes in whatever order I want to
Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah was just wondering cause i see no discussions on that two classes at all. Highest score i could garner is 61k on normal with Scavenge + Boost Armor + Dazzle + Teleport. One funny thing is that on my Stats sometimes i see Bonus Shied/Potion/Coin change already 100%, but the still upgrades still ask for 85>>90%. What gives?
I haven't seen anyone post impressions of the Ranger with the arrows in use. I'm really eager to try that one out.
Thanks! I'm playing paladin now as it has "special monsters appear 1 turn earlier", so hoping for more unlocks Btw, how do you guys know the no. of turns while still playing the game? I don't see it in stats? Or you just sorta guess which turn you're on based on score? sorry if i sound noobish. new to the game and forum
This was true in the previous version also. I think it's sort of a bug. When you level up, the bonus probabilities that are shown (old and new) are without counting any equipment bonuses, it's just your inherent skill. So if you have 85% bonus chance from your inherent abilities and +15% from equipment, then your overall status page will show 100% bonus chance, but when you're offered a level-up to that ability, it will display 85>>90%. In theory this could be of some value because a later upgrade to your equipment might reduce that equipment bonus (whereas your inherent abilities can never be reduced or taken away). But mostly it's misleading and confusing and I just try to remember which bonus probabilities are already at 100%.
Well if you play as the paladin i think you level up the paladin as opposed to unlocking new classes. Can someone verify? As for the score, if you go to your stats (the button in the top right) then it tells you your score at the bottom of the stats page. edit: oops you asked turn number... yeah i don't know if thats shown
I don't know if it's displayed anywhere in the new version. In the previous version, it wasn't displayed anywhere until the game ends, when you see the count. So people may comment on how many turns their game lasted, because they see the value at the end, even though they don't see the number during the game. Also, once you play a bunch of games, you start to get an intuition for the approximate turn number based on the strength of the enemies.
The ranger class is the first one I unlocked, and it took me a while to get used to the arrows. When highlighting an arrow, you can skip over any adjacent tile to a sword or enemy to keep your streak going. After getting used to it, it did come in handy a few times, but overall I didn't find it overly helpful most of the time.
There's an easy way to do this. Just make Amnesia a spell. Then taking it would only allow you three other spells. That would be a significant downside to make up for the upside of the ability to change spells.
