    Thank you!!!!
Probably because I saw the first video of the game with that music, but I found it really fitting.

    Thank you very much!!!

The game posts scores to both OpenFeint and Game Center automatically, it's just there's no Game Center button inside the game to open the Game Center interface. It can be added pretty easily though so I'm happy to add one if you really want it.

You're right, Game Center is the native option, created by Apple and installed in iOS 4.1+ devices and for a user it might seem like a no-brainer to use it and nothing else, but from a development perspective OpenFeint is much much MUCH easier to integrate, can effortlessly mirror leaderboards & achievements to GC and has a LOT more control, not to mention extra features like forums.

Apple still have a ways to go to making GC easy to integrate into a game, a developer needs to write a hell of a lot more code compared to integrating OF, and right now I'd still use the OF software even if the intention was to only expose a Game Center interface, just because it's so much more convenient. It might seem obsolete from a user perspective but the development tools are miles ahead of those Apple provides.

Also, GC is only available for 4.1+ and a lot of people are still using pre-4.0 devices, so for them the choice is either no achievements/leaderboards or OF, GC is not an option. Maybe in a year or so once everyone's moved on to 4.1+ and Apple have made it easy to use their tools, GC will be the best option but for now OF is easing the transition.

Frankly, I don't see what makes Game Center, in its current iteration, better than Open Feint anyway. Sorry for the OT Post. Been following this game for a while...probably pick it up sooner than later.

    Done and done, thanks!
Hearing the nice soundtrack (which is really fitting by the way) will be a new incentive to play the game, if I needed one.
I seem to constantly dye after about 100-120 turns on harder...there is one point after that you have to constantly plan everything in advance, because skulls and the occasional 'boss' can kill you in 2 turns if you're not fast to dispatch them.
It's a tricky game...I play it when I feel I want to kill 'some minutes' (as opposed to titles like Riven) and then I discover more than 1 hour passed.
It's a productivity killer....there should be a big WARNING on the main screen :p

A lot has been mentioned already, but there's also the simple fact that some older devices, even if updated to the most recent iOS just don't support Gamecenter period.

You can't take anything Benegesserit says too personally as they're likely to be all addled by some recent spice trance gone bad. :p

    Thanks for the response!

When I say in-game, I really mean some sort of help button on the main page that would take you to a wall of explanatory text. The in-game help in the tutorial mode is a great starter. It gives you all the help you need to get started... I was just looking for more info.

I guess I still don't get the difference between defense and dexterity. Both are used on various things, but I think they do the same thing?

And it also seems to me that buying your defense up past 3 or 4 is completely pointless. Once a three shield combo will fill your shields to their fullest in one shot, why go beyond that? Does it fill your extra armor bar quicker or do extra shields still just count 1 for 1 there?

Also, people keep referring to increasing your armor durability score. I've never once in hours of play noticed this going up. What makes this go up? What item/skill/whatever do I need to raise my armor durability?

Yeah, this deeked me for a while as well. If I understand this correctly, every additional shield beyond patching up the armor goes into the upgrade stuff although it isn't clear if the upgrade stuff gets this same multiplier. So if you had your Defense up to 5 (5 points per shield), you'll be sure that almost all of the shields go right into upgrading.

I think I finally get the difference between stuff like Vitality/Health, Dexterity/Defense, and Strength/Damage!

In all of those three pairings just mentioned you have one that adds a +1 to a stat and increasing by 5% one of the doublers (Strength), or a +2 to a basic stat without the increase to doubling (Damage).

Durability is an enhancement that is only available to your main body armor like, "+10% to Durability".

Its kind of rare. Probably the average is that you'll be offered 1 durability upgrade if you play for 125-150 turns, but you could do better or worse depending on luck and how many upgrades you can grab. It doesnt strike me as unusual to play 200 turns and not get one. I had a 1000+ turn game where I got TONS of upgrades and was only offered 4 durability picks.

ALWAYS take it. The first one doesnt help you all that much, and you might have better short term choices, but if you hope to play long, grab every single durability upgrade up to the 95% cap, and never trade your armor for one with less durability.

Fun game. Would be cool if they could introduce some kind of campaign to go along with it and a variety of monsters besides the skull pieces. Maybe take something like Sword and Poker (sadly now gone from the app store) as an example. Dungeons and then going into attack mode with the match-three instead of poker to defeat each group of enemies.

Nonetheless, this is addictive and I'm enjoying it.

In my head, I use the term repair for how many shields are fixed, and armor for how many total shields you have at max.

Your right, too much repair is pointless. Prioritize getting repair to 2 or 3, but after that, I try to have repair at around 1/2 of total armor. You can eventually get more than enough repair at the level up screen, when there often isnt any better choice, and its therefore a sin to pick repair at the upgrade screen or the store, when there are always better choices (except maybe for your first point or two in repair, which is important).

More armor is always better, although you dont necessarily want tons of armor before your repair is up a bit, because then all your shields will go to repair and you wont have any left to go towards filling the upgrade bar.

Durability seems to be the most rare of all upgrades. ArtNJ seems to get it alot, but I see it maybe one in 10 games on harder. Maybe it is seen more often on Hard and Normal. But I see it very rarely.

Keep in mind that I stack +Upgrade per shield very heavily, so I get a lot of upgrades. There is no cap, you can get it up to +300% or more if you play long enough. Heck, I stack all 3, +exp per skull, +upgrade per shield, and +gold per coin. I also try to keep 1 slot for either enchanting, double shields, or potions for XP (whichever pops first) every game. Eventually, the levels and upgrades really start flowing like water.

this is probably the closest experience to Sword and Poker on the AppStore now, no?

This looks fun. I may or may not wait for a sale. I've still got plenty of other stuff to play, but I do find myself drawn to it....

Love this game but is it GameCenter enabled? Seems to only use OpenFeint as far as I can make out - I have no option to open GameCenter from the game anywhere...
