It does seem a little too easy now. Or maybe the abilities are unbalanced? If I get teleport, potions for xp, and enchant I can basically just keep going for at least an hour or two. Perhaps the other abilities are not strong enough.
Very fun game but it would be great to have some sort of story mode for those of us who are not very much into arcade endless games.
So frustrated right now. I was happily playing the game (LOVE IT), had just bought it, update arrived so I downloaded it. Now the game crashes instantly after the title screen. I tried it on my Wife's iPhone and the same thing. iOS 4.0.1 - Anyone have any ideas? I tried redownloading it, rebooting my phone, tried installing it through iTunes. No luck any which way. Crashes every time. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know how I can roll back to the old version so I can keep playing? I barely got to enjoy the game before installing the update
Really sorry, looks like the 1.2 update only works on iOS 4.1+, due to the Game Center dependency. I'll be submitting an update to make it work on 3.1+ again today, but in the meantime the only options are to upgrade to the latest iOS or not download the 1.2 update.
Man, this is a fun game. Maybe I just suck, but I dunno why people think this game is so easy. I play on normal and usually die at 200 moves... Ahhhh, love this game!
Thanks to Fireflame I have a workaround and can play this awesome game again! Tell your friends about this game, it KILLS anything like it on the app store, it just needs more exposure.

I have a really basic question that I think I already know the answer to, but just to be sure... Assuming your base damage/offensive power is greater than the skulls' hp, can skulls be matched without using any swords? I'm thinking of when there are like three matchable skulls but no connecting swords. Thanks in advance for any feedback. And thanks to Eli for writing up a review of this game; probably would have missed it otherwise. It really is fun and addictive.
Yes, you can always match 3 or more skulls with no swords and you'll do your base damage - the effect of any armor the skulls have.
I have some tips buried earlier in the thread. The biggest starter tip is to realize it gets harder by number of turns, so try to get MORE skulls, shields and coins in fewer turns. How do you do that? Always make the biggest match, whatever it is, until it gets hard.
What would this workaround be? I'm in the same boat as you are currently, and there's probably other people as well that can't play till the update. Only thing I can think of is updating the iOS, which I've been reluctant to do, with all the stuff I've read about how 4.0+ really lags up the iPhone 3G and other old models.
Hi all, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for supporting the game, the TA review has attracted a lot of attention and right now Dungeon Raid's in the top 10 in RPG category in 10 countries The current update is unfortunately crashing on startup for people using pre-Game Center iOS devices, which is entirely my bad and pretty disappointing since I'd like to think I'm not in the business of writing buggy software A fix for this has been submitted and should be out in a few days, but in the meantime apologies to anyone affected, hopefully the future updates will make it up to you! Speaking of updates, right now the plan is to do unlockable & upgradeable character classes for the next major update (1.3), but I know there was also a lot of interest in craftable artifacts, different game modes, skill upgrade overhauling and a few other major changes, so if anyone feels strongly about what the most immediately interesting feature is, feel free to speak up.
I think Skill overhauling might be the order of the day AND could easily then make way for the future class system.
Sweet, I hope you start making some money on this. I definitely think the game is capable of making the top 25. By the way, I have a game in progress on "harder" at level 108. I do not have a set up capable of infinite play at harder (if there is one) and have been under a lot of stress since level 80 or so. It clearly doesnt help that I only have 80% durability. I foolishly passed a durability for a lifeleech very early and have only seen 3 durability upgrades after that.
