uppercut Ok raid freaks. What exactly triggers uppercut and why can't I figure it out? I had a good long game going but my mortal enemy could only be damaged by uppercut, and warped around each move. Taking two sequential swords below him (when i got a chance) and going through him vertically did not trigger uppercut, instead it would just say "NO DMG". I'd keep trying various combinations when I had an opportunity, and then sometimes it would work. Then I died, mainly because I lost focus over why uppercut would trigger so randomly. It did not work always, when I made a path with this segment in it / X or started like this: X / / both are what I thought uppercut might be.
Uppercut needs to have a sword below AND above. So it has to be: / X / You can have muliptle skulls between the swords: / X Y Z / So x y and z would all be uppercut victims.
Actually, to correct myself, I think as long as you go completely through it's fine, so this would also work: YZ X / Tracing a path (and it is directional, so order does count) from sword to x to y turning to z would uppercut X but not Y (or Z or course).
And got this response: Hi King Muumuu, I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately but unfortunately I've been caught up in some personal issues that have, for the moment, meant that I've had to stop work on Dungeon Raid. I'll be back to it as soon as I can but I'm not sure when that will be. My artist is still working on the art changes for the Universal update, though, so hopefully by the time that's done I can resume work on DR Fireflame Yeah guys, we'll have to wait. If I'm not mistaken you have to trace a straight line from the tile directly below the skull, going through the skull and to the tile directly above it. It does not matter if they are swords or not.
Sure, their sub-selection of 20 skills. At first level you'll be stuck with their default set of 20 skills but as you level up you can swap in more and more of your own favorite skills that weren't included (down to even other class specific skills if you'd already maxed that other class to 10th level).
Is there any reason why game center isn't showing my latest score? I got 64,000 points last thursday and it still shows as my last score 60,900.
Happened to me once but then i realized i didn't have a wifi connection available when i completed my score so it never got logged. Other than that though it's been working for me!
Which is weird since i had connection and still do. Normally i wouldn't care, but i want to see where i stack up compared to the rest of the world.
I've had that happen as well when I didn't have a connection or lost it temporary from a bad 3G connection. I'd do a system restart, then boot up gamecenter, go to dungeon raid, and go to the scores pages, then back to GC. Sometimes that fixes it up.
Scored really well, and it still doesn't show up on gc so i am sad. I've tried prerty much everything.
I noticed I can't get all the achievements on Openfeint, literally... Now that mimics are out of the game, I can't get the "kill a hidden shield mimic". I didn't know what this meant until I read this topic and figured out what exactly it does. New high score! Level 10 Dragonkin Paladin 68k on Normal Using Scavenge, Boost Armor, Dazzle, Teleport with quicken and 4th skill -1 cooldown. Doesn't stack does it? So the quicken really just helps my other 3 skills...? Or...?
great game, really very addictive. usually for 1000 turns on normal i get less than 20000 points, need to try different strategies.
To get higher points, you need either Boost Armor (good mixed with Scavenge and Dazzle), or Boost Gold (good mixed with Treasure Chamber and Treasure or Charge). I think the -1 on fourth skill and quicken do stack. If you put slash in the fourth slot fully maxed with quicken, you can use it every turn.
The difficulty curve means you can't live a whole lot longer, I think, so the main way to score more is to score faster in the turns you do have, e.g., with the Boost skills as mentioned (and manipulating the tableau and other skills to max them out frequently).
I see people talking about the Treasure Chamber-Boost Gold-Treasure-Charge combo. It seems Wish would work as a second Treasure, but its only one use... And if you use Charge, you can't have a teleport, which has saved me on NUMEROUS occasions... But if I was stronger, I wouldn't need it? What about those bad situations to deal with? I used Boost Damage once, then Slash... But Charge is best (to collect all the tiles on the edge of the board).
Teleport definitely lets you live longer. But the exponentially increasing difficulty at the end of the game means it might not be that much longer, so if you can score substantially more during the time you're alive, that could more than offset in scoring. Also, by the time the game gets hard enough that you're relying on Teleport to stay alive, you aren't able to set up big combos so much and so you aren't scoring as much anyway. The main advantage of Teleport might be that it lets you take bigger risks and set up more combos in the mid-game, because you have that escape valve.
