Today I'll do an overview of the monk class. The monk is a melee character class that has two abilities, Ki Strike and Sanctuary, which are already on a quick 6 rounds cooldown timer without having to spend any skill points giving it a fast and furious playing style that gives the class a very unique feel. They respectively replace a reel (and a chance for a 2nd one with the Sensei skill) by a staff (Ki Strike) or shield (Sanctuary) in a similar way to how Shield Wall works for warriors but they also opens up 3 followup chain abilities: These 3 chain abilities can be activated with Ki points which are obtained with the ki inner power symbols. The number of Ki points required is shown in parenthesis. Ki Strike and Sanctuary each display 3 distinct chain abilities giving the monk a total of 9 different abilities. The chain abilities do not have individual cooldowns - they depend on the usage of their parent ability. More on the monk Tomorrow as well as the 1st alternate skin for it.
Looking forward to the monk... the graphic looks surprisingly... monk-like. It seems like every time I turn aroun Dungeon Plunder has made drastic improvements.
Back at home.. time for a preview Here's the 4 skins for the upcoming monk class in 1.18 which will hopefully be approved by tuesday. Monks, like rangers, have low shields chances on reels but compensate with their 6 rounds Sanctuary ability. They also have strong mitigation capacities and a cooldown that allows them to mitigate all damage received that round and deflect 80% of it back to the opponent! Nice to use on a caster opponent with high surge chances. -- 1.19, which will be sent for approval a day or so after 1.18, will introduce a much requested feature: iCloud syncing between devices for your runes and starting levels. -- Tomorrow I will preview the battle reference for the monks.
Battle reference for the monk: As mentioned before Ki Strike and Sanctuary, the abilities leading to each set of 3 offensive/defensive chain abilities, are on short 6 rounds cool down. Third Sense is a huge ability for monks. When combined with Mithril Skin you'll often have rounds where you mitigate all incoming damage. Sensei is there to get some nice spikes here and then Rest assured that it may seem overwhelming but everything is presented in tooltips progressively as you gain levels like the other classes. I think I'll buy them to support you - I did not fully explore other than warrior class (highest level 13 so far) and I did not like Rogue (it was one of my first rounds so maybe I just misunderstood him), so I'll try Mage next and then try the new charracters Now to the quote: I gifted this app to some friends but there is no way to gift them in-app so they'll complain
Yeah, all the hard work you continue to put into this game will have me buying all iap as soon as they're available. Thanks for all the hard work Dominic, I love your game. Edit: Update is available in my area, happy to say I now own the platinum edition.
I just updated and went to the store to buy the classes, but they are listed at $3.99 not $0.99. Is this a mistake or was there a price change?
You can get individual classes for $0.99 each by selecting their individual tab at the bottom. $3.99 is if you get all classes and their alternate skins. Skins are optional and have no effect.
It should show up in the shop under these 2 conditions: 1. When you have no previous IAP bought it will offer a bundle for the 2 classes and 5 skins pack on the leftmost button of the shop. 2. When you have bought the warrior, mage and rogue skins packs previously it will show up as well on the leftmost button of the shop. If you're not in either of these conditions you can still get it by buying everything separately. Then you'll have the bonus lizardman skin showing up under the ranger as if you bought the bundle.. and of course the plaque
Cool, I'm going to grab the ranger and the ranger skin pack. So it doesn't matter how I buy the different IAPs, but as long as I eventually have them all I will qualify for platinum and the lizard man, right?
