Got the delux version as well. Just to clear things up, now that I've bought that, I can unlock the new classes for just one payment of 99c? Even if it's more, I'd happily pay, as I am REALLY loving this game. Thanks for the great updates!
I wasn't too thrilled with that mammoth, glad it was a joke. I'm really curious what the third pet will be. I just ran into the craziest fight with a mimic, I was like WTF just happened!
It's a toggable preference in Options. I just turned it on, curious to see what Pandora's Box of info I may have just opened! So when can you tease us about the new classes? Being a spineless follower, I too gladly purchased the Deluxe Edition even though I'm usually adverse to "New Skins" based IAPs (I'd happily pay for new classes/modes).
Yeah, I did that too. But what is the difference? Some more numbers in brackets? (x damage, y blocked etc.)
Thanks for the upgrade. The $0.99 mentioned earlier is for the new 3 models upcoming for deluxe owners, not the classes. Still need to release info on the pricing but will do around sunday - expect something very reasonable though. Basically the 1.17 shop will have the following Deluxe owners -> Goblin rogue will be unlocked for free, $0.99 to get the new warrior, rogue, mage as a single unlock. Non deluxe owners -> $0.99 to get either 3 warriors, 3 rogues or 3 mages. $2.99 to get them all. No goblin rogue available through any means. I released some info about the ranger in this previous message. There's a couple things that looked good on paper but not so much when implemented as well. More to come but not today I appreciate the exception and your spinelessness! In 1.16 there's only 2 breakdowns: the damage mitigation which can display up to 3 numbers: damage done, defense lost and damage mitigated. The rogue poison damage bonus is also separate. I'm trying to avoid having more than a number per line in the default mode as much as I can but I know players want to know what is going on and don't mind which is why I added the option. Let me know which numbers you'd like broken down and I'll get on it. 1.17 will have the warrior defense bonus and the mage surge extra damage tonight before submitting.
Any chance of adding a local Hall of Fame? I only ask as this would probably be the only way we'd ever get to see our chosen names and models displayed in any sort of perpetuity outside of the game itself. I figure, if nothing more, it could be the model chosen, name, and score. Might be like some top 10-20 with all of the classes mixed together.
Just updated and restarted my dead player. The quest says to "Bring him 3 (null)s to complete the quest (0/3).
Yes this will be added - I love the idea and it's been asked quite a bit. Sorry for that. Can you tell me what's the quest's level and what is the shape of top of the quest building? Thanks.
Version 1.17 has just been submitted to Apple which means it should be live within a week or so. Here's the full update notes:
How is the overall difficulty of the game? I have little time these days and prefer my games to be non-frustrating and non-grind fests. Will I enjoy this?
It's not frustratingly difficult, but there is some grinding for levelling up...not enough grinding to get annoying, as there is a pretty short pause between levels in general. I've died many, many times so far and have yet to get to the point where it's no longer fun. The slot based combat keeps the levelling from getting boring.
Just jumped on the deluxe edition band wagon, I want that goblin skin and to support a developer who is doing the best job I've ever seen on the appstore updating his game into a masterpiece. I can't wait for the new classes, instabuy!
I started a game using my Warrior (start at lv4) and died, but it was still there. What exactly do I have to do?
Just started my first game under the latest version and... no artifact inheritance. My last warrior had two different artifacts, including an amulet of luck +2 that's been passed down for multiple generations, but nada was passed onto the next warrior EDIT: it gets better, and by better, I mean worse. Figured I'd play my Mage, a character & game I created under the last version but had never actually played. Now under 1.16 it appears the map has the quest scrolls. That's weird but not the worse, no, there isn't a single level appropriate enemy anywhere. The zone I spawned into is empty and all that is in the neighboring parts of the map are red X level enemies. EDIT 2: identical situation for my rogue created under identical conditions to my Mage. So, in one morning I've lost 99% of my progress.
I'm not sure if this is a glitch but I've had this weird experience twice, I'm not sure if the first time was pre-1.16 but the second time was. The game told me I leveled up when I wasn't close to leveling up, and gives me like 2 skill points. Then when I return to the game, my XP bar is only half way to the next level. The first time I thought I was imagining things but it happened again last night. I didn't stop to think much about it, just kept playing, so I don't remember if this happened on ipad or iphone, or anything else about the circumstances of this. I'll keep an eye out and pay more attention if it happens again.
Maybe you found an artifact that gives you skill points to allocate? The game treats this the same as a level-up.
The cleanup on death wasn't 100% accurate.. it'll only do so if you'd have earned a rune in your run and then it'll clean that category. 1.17's should do it 100% though. Can you send me an email at [email protected]? I'll work it out with you. Thanks. Inheritances of artifacts can be lost with 1.16, I have a fix upcoming in 1.17. Sorry for the inconvenience Not sure why you'd have lost your progress on older games. When you created these characters pre-1.16 did you entered the game at all beforehand? Trying to see why I'm not getting this here. Since apologies for the trouble.
I think you're right, that sounds familiar. I think I got some sort of necklace right around that time. Thanks.
Well... "How is the overall difficulty of the game? I have little time these days and prefer my games to be non-frustrating and non-grind fests. Will I enjoy this?" Initially yes, ultimately no. The game is essentially a map that activates a simple, un-evolving game of chance. For the most part your last battle will be the same as your first: fate. It's a numbers game, and when your number is up you die. This would be ok if getting back to where you were when your ticket got punched was fun. It's not. No matter how far you make it, it all boils down to the luck of the draw in your current battle. There's no real learning curve or meta strategy. Advancing your character seems kind of pointless if it all comes down to a game of Russian roulette.
