Looking forward to 1.15. Other ranger animal ideas... More conventional: grizzly bear, mountain lion, badger, eagle Less conventional: some sort of carnivorous plant, Scottie dog (idea stolen from Battleheart), Ent
Noted your picks Still no word about 1.15's approval. Should be today or tomorrow hopefully. Will do Thanks for the purchase. Question I got asked about 1.16's new quests: along with the new encounters they will be found only in newly created games.
Just wanted to say Dungeon Plunder is an awesome roguelike....I'm enjoying it more than the other IOS roguelikes I've played. I appreciate your commitment to frequent updates. The only thing I found lacking at all was the variety of quest types, but it looks like you're addressing that in the updates. Looking forward to seeing how the game develops...I'm not sure if this is your first game, but great work all around.
Thanks for the purchase and the good words. 1.16 will indeed improve quest variety and start introducing some alternate world events/encounters. I'll keep focusing on that direction (as well as addressing other elements of player feedback) in the upcoming updates once I have the 2 new classes in the game. Also: the ranger pet's survey is up. Wasn't sure if it was ok to make a TA one in the General forum so I put it on the website.
Quick question, sorry if this was already asked in the thread, I haven't checked, what is unlocked with the delux version? This game looks very interesting.
I started playing the Mage class, but it's awfully hard compared to the other classes because you have to remember what you got on the spinner last time. It's not that I can't do that, it's just that remembering each round what I had so that I can compare it to the next round and see if I want to use the time warp, takes a lot more concentration than all of the other decisions in the game.
Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger didn't make it into the vote, so I picked Tiger instead. Wolf would be fine also.
For the Mage, the skill upgrade page says that I should be able to reduce Mana Vortex to 10 turns, but it won't let me put more than 4 points into the skill (resulting in a minimum recharge of 12 turns).
Here are (I think) the reel distributions for the Mage: 5 Wand 3 Potion 3 Shield 1 Shield/Potion 3 Heart 4 Coin 2 Dagger (ineffective) 1 1-Axe (ineffective) 2 2-Axe (ineffective) 24 Total
Was already fixed but I'm not sure if I did it in 1.15 or 1.16 as it wasn't in my bug fixes list for some reason.
Well no 1.15 still today Let's get it done tomorrow Apple! Here's a screenshot from 1.16 in the mean time:
With the Mage, what if you've got 100% mana, and you've also got 30% shield bonus. You can't have a 130% chance of blocking 2 damage with each shield. Do you just get no benefit from your shield bonus if the total goes over 100%? Or are they cumulative, somehow?
So happy that I bought the deluxe -- that I have the privilege of supporting you. One of the hardest working devs I've seen! Thank you for the constant updates, which aren't just cosmetic or token, but which improve the game significantly! Hope you had fun with your little ones
Personally the updates are faster than I'd like. I'd rather play through the game as it stands than have it changing. Each game takes hours so just getting through it a couple of times takes me a long time. I might just avoid updating, although Apple doesn't make that easy (it's much easier to just "Update All").
Formula is pretty wicked and depends on your current defense. If your defense is pretty low then yes 100% mana would be around 80ish% chance to absorb 2 damage out of mana. But since you don't have 100% mana that often in fights it's still worth it to increase your defense. While there is no advantage right now to have over 100% defense efficiency it might be worth it in 1.15 against some opponents Thanks for the purchase and the good words. I'm proud of the game and want it to be a reference on iOS. There's only one way of doing so and it's through further work to deepen the gameplay experience.
